Blizzard cooldown being increased to 15 seconds is dumb

Does anyone think this is a dumb change? By increasing the cooldown we can’t use it as much. To me, it makes Frost harder. It pretty much limits the use of Blizzard.

It’s not really a change.

The CD is reduced by haste still (I think), and the point is that it’s still basically ahs the same cd as the duration. It’s basically meant to make it less maintenance to maintain/use.

I use the spell frequently against groups of enemies. But now I will have to wait much longer to use it

My theory is, the dev who made the decision plays a rogue, with EMBARRASSING memories of losing in AV to a bridge stomp strategy, is getting some weird sense of revenge by ensuring current mages can not spam blizzard while guarding a node in pvp.

Just a THEORY.

Personally, I like the change. Being able to pelt an area for longer to prevent flag captures or proc frostbites in PvP sounds pretty appealing.

In PvE – I guess it’ll be only relevant when trash packs don’t die too quickly.

It will still be out doing damage the whole time until the cd is off cooldown. So really you gain damage from being able to cast more things, instead of having to press Blizzard/orb every 3s.

I thought they were only increasing the cool down.

CD and duration to match, and again- the cd scales with haste. So during that time you’ll be able to use more abilities and your blizzard will last longer. (Which will also be nice for the frozen orb cd reduction it gives.
