I find it unlikely that anyone would say that we don’t know how to find an NPC.

I’m afraid to buy the wrong one, we should get them through PvP randomly

Lord Ion is a blight on the game tbh. I don’t know if he is the one making the decisions or if he is simply forced by someone higher up than him, but WoW under the current leadership has been degrading ever since mop and Blizz’s unwillingness to admit that they’re genuinely awful at their jobs makes it even more grating.

You should be embarrassed for the state of this game Ion. Truly ashamed.

The whole “we can’t do PvP vendors because people would be too confused” is such a smelly load of BS.

I’m pretty sure it’s more because it would ruin the market for those selling sinister combatant gear atm.
Imagine bringing a fresh 120 to the vendor and full equipping 370 in 10s because you have a lot of marks of honor.

Back in the day a lot of people pushed blizzard to move away from vendors to “drops” and other random type mechanics because it was “more fun.”

At the time I was pretty hardcore into raiding, and spent a lot of time pvping as well. I warned. I cautioned. I beat the drum that for PvP you would want VENDORS to flesh out a set ASAP so you weren’t getting mowed down, and could target poorly optimized slots to even the playing field.

Here we are. I’m sure it will change in the future, but wow is it ever annoying right now.
