Blizzard chooses not to detect and ban bots

This has been an ongoing issue for very long time.

Since classic re-released there has been zero effort from Blizzard to regulate rmt in WoW. Bots have been roaming freely in large quantities easily identifiable using flyhacks etc.

Furthter more people that have bough gold from gold sellers have not received any punisments, even if widely known like Soda buying 50k gold and not getting suspended for even a minute.

If you want a game with integrity look somewhere else, Blizzard could shut down classic tommorow, release two store mounts instead and it would cover the loss of classic subs.

To blizzard you aren’t players you are just payers.

It wouldn’t take hundreds, literally a couple employees per server could be taking down dozens of bots a day. A single employee could have in-game observation of 10 or 20 high traffic/high bot areas simultaneously with ease, and even catching 50% of the bots they observe in these areas would be massive. Bots have to operate in the valuable/efficient hunting areas. Once bots are having to park out in the middle of nowhere, spending 60-75% of their time running between mobs, it becomes completely unsustainable.

I do understand that the main argument against this approach being successful is the size and scope of WoW and all it’s servers, but the obvious rebuttal is that this scope gives them the largest coffers and manpower base of any RPG company in history. Games like Asherons Call, EverQuest, and Dark Age of Camelot did live admin bot sniping to tremendous effect, and none of those games, save maybe EverQuest, ever enjoyed any period of success and stability like Blizzard has gotten to enjoy.

But with Blizzards resources, these kinds of efforts, combined with the common sense item and transfer fixes others have suggested, would make botting more of a pain in the neck than it’s worth within a year. Blizzard just has to decide they care enough to take some REALLY common sense steps to improving their platform.

even worse Bots have completely destroyed Dream scythe server and its only been 4 weeks, BOE rares and epics are dirt cheap (1-30g) now the same thing is happening on DoomHowl HC . I checked price of the epic mail item icechainmailJerkin and it was listed at 9g embarrassing
