The plot is already terrible and they didn’t write much. The time gate is just so they can pretend there’s more than 5 minutes of story

Taking a guess you’re in ARR with “The crystal blah blah blah” Yea it was a bit of a “Meh” For me at the start. Pass that? Loved it.

Oh no I loved ARR, got me absolutely hooked. at the beginning of HW, the Interest in where they take it was more about Shadowlands sorry for not being more clear.
Having listened to people in my guild complain about how much Korthia storyline they “had” to go through, I think I understand why Bliz does this.
WOW is like salty snacks. Some people really can’t keep themselves from just eating everything put in front of them, even if they’re getting sick.
The only way to prevent it is to give them smaller bags of chips at a time.

I’m still busy at the battle of ardenweald since last week so i’ve yet to feel the time gates, or the gates of time, whichever it is. I remember in 9.0 one of the quest people told me to “Slow down, Maw Walker”, so I heeded that advice… I guess everybody has their own pace though… I just seen a catfight between Tyrande and Sylvanas… lol
Blizzard can you please stop hard gating the story?
But how else can we drag out 17 hours worth of ‘content’ for 8 months?

Drip fed content. Higher active participation rates.
It is a design choice that I personally loathe, especially when its this linear, but it’s very obviously done to keep the population at a similar pace.
It just feels cheap and lazy though, like the storylines are so shallow that they need to be spread across weeks to give the illusion of depth

If they didn’t gate the story, it would show how little time and effort was put into content outside Raids and Mythic+.

If you can play once a week, you’d get the story once a week.
If not, you’d get it a little faster, potentially even slower.
