Blizzard brain plays

Imagine making a bunch of people quit their ranking grind only to announce that you’ll be delaying the change mere hours before the weekly reset when none of them can recover and resume pvp for the week. hahahaha. I wonder if they intentionally consider how to piss off the player base when they make these announcements. If I was an Alex Jones fan I’d have some succulent conspiracy theories on this one oh boy.

Agreed, the whole situation is pretty messed up.

It does really surprise me that they did anything at all though. I wonder what the next twist is this Dr Seuss book will be

Wow, just wow. I mean, I agree that the system should change but you think they’d use their heads and come up with a good way to do it. Instead they come out with this bad PVP system after it was proven to be harmful, let it go for months, come out with a bad solution, let that sit without word for a while, and now they do a 180 again.

Every move they make further shows off their incompetence. It’s no wonder this game is a mess.

Anyone who quit over that fix was just looking for a reason to quit anyway. Bye!

To be honest it wasn’t really a fix. Just a bandaid over a very bad system. The reason to quit would be that Blizzard has no idea what they are doing.

Many people in their last few weeks have to plan accordingly and take time off work. And getting an unexpected extra two weeks on your grind can actually make it impossible for some. Hell I had to take time off from my job just to get 13 the first time around.

Well, that should have been obvious when they planned to launch with layers and xrealm bgs.

I agreed with the concept behind layers. There were always going to be tons of tourists and once they left there would be lots of very unbalanced and dead servers. However, I thought they didn’t go far enough and they released too many servers and too few layers. They also implemented layers pretty badly. It could have been handled much better.

And cross-realm BGs were also implemented pretty badly. Again, not a bad idea once people left the game but early-on it wasn’t necessary.

But it’s all the same, Blizzard is just bad at implementing things.

They didn’t launch with cross-realm BGs, though.

True, but we knew before launch they were planned to be xrealm.

Well, we knew they were launching with 1.12 data throughout, so it only made sense that the BGs would be cross-realm.

There’s an argument to made against cross-realm BGs, but I don’t think it’s really an indication that they didn’t know what they were doing. If anything, their rigidity on that issue would indicate they did know what they were doing, even if many people disagreed with it.

Fair point. They knew exactly what they were doing, it was just a horrible idea IMO.

That tends to be a common theme with Blizzard.

I actually really enjoy the xrealm aspect in some ways. It’s cool to run into vampire clan etc and get to play with/against those well known premades/players

Also if you play enough you will get to know and recognize plenty of other pvpers. Although it would have been interesting to see how same server bgs might impact faction balance

Too late now for it to have any impact. But I do think if it had been planned from the start, we’d probably have seen better active pvper faction balance.

Now I’m just spitballing, but there probably would have been a few servers the community chose to be ranking servers and rolled there for bgs. Probably would have been pretty healthy, competitive, and lively servers.

A lot of other servers might have been dead for bgs though as the cost. Personally, I’d have seen that as worth it.

They just listened to feedback and decided not to do a major change that would piss off a lot of players; they deserve some credit imo for listening to the community.

I agree the proposed change was dumb, but they listened.

LoL if that was their plan along mad respect to blizzard for some epic trolling.

Otherwise boo for caving to exploiters instead making a real fix.

This wasn’t a real fix you smooth brain troll lol. Go back to the av thread where you belong

What are you babbling about, removing the exploit was a real fix. Using it is an exploit to make a bad system suck less.
