its. not. thrall
Yea, everything else aside. Even just looking at it, that statue is not Thrall, or any other named orc that I recognize.
Should probably ignore the threadjacking.
It won’t boil much anti blood lol. Many people on the anti side of helves don’t hate helves themselves, they dislike the players who keep asking for it ad nauseam. If, big IF here, helves were actually given to the Alliance to play, most would forget about it within a week and just play the game. And the pro helvers would make their new toon and also play the game. If any anti helver quit the game over this one issue (and I doubt any would) I’d respect them for truly not wanting helves added for Alliance due to blurring faction lines and actually having a well reasoned argument why that is bad. But I don’t think that would be the case, they would just move on and keep playing.
The Blood Elf heritage armour is 90% amazing. Sadly the boots and pants let it down.
the boots just need to be thicker.
they make the boots as thick as the gloves, it’d be perfect.
you could say the same thing about the blue eyes for blood elves request
That’s the thing: the boots aren’t boots. They’re shoes. And the pants aren’t as detailed as either chest piece. But I agree, if the boots had as much bulk and detail as the gloves it wouldn’t be so bad.
Let them wallow in their tears. They aren’t interested in facts at this point, they don’t want their pity party to end.
Hmm, I think partially. Giving blue eyes to blood elves wouldn’t necessarily mean the High Elves wouldn’t be added to the Alliance at some point. But I think there would be enough bad blood over it that at least a few people would quit. Not en masse, and probably not even enough to make Blizzard take notice. But there would be die hards that WOULD see this as the final nail in the coffin and would quit and likely wouldn’t return until helves were added, if ever. Again, I doubt those numbers would be significant but who knows? /shrug
the nail was when with the AR system(what they presumed to be was the answer to their prayers) they got void elves instead of blue eyed blood elves. it should have been obvious when metzen announced blood elves are our high elves with TBC reveal, but void elves were the final nail
Oh I agree. Void Elves was pretty much the end of the High Elf debate. But there are some who disagree and I’m not going to try and rain on their parade. And Blizzard knows that those players are going to keep holding out hope hence why they won’t come out and just say “no, never, not in a million years are we adding playable, non-void elves to the alliance.” Because as long as they don’t definitively say no the hope remains alive for some people. I personally don’t think it will happen but I’ve become so apathetic to WoW and the devs that I barely log in anymore so I don’t have a horse in that race anymore. So until Blizz needs to seriously make some fast cash or Ion gets ousted from Game Director, High Elves aren’t happening.
There is a really awesome looking Varian Wrynn statue in the EU office, France.
they can fix this by just giving all high elves gold eyes or removing the 2 mages from alliance territory(or both) after the shadowlands time skip
yea ive seen it at gamescon(pictures anyway). crazy detailed
your position is not a very nice position to have. let me explain: i think belves should have access to any eyecolor/class they want, and the alliance should have access to their own allied high elves. i do not think the position is untenable, as they have assimilated into human culture and would pick up their hairstyles, animations, expressions, dance, even idle stances. as a result they could be made to look even more different from blood elves, then void elves do. btw, your floral crown is adorable!
There are a lot of ways they can fix this. The problem is they don’t want to fix it lol. They like stringing players along who think they’ll eventually get what they’re asking for. If every pro helver cancelled their sub right now, at this very moment, and there was a significant amount of those players, helves would probably be added. Not unlike how Blizz flipped their stance on flying in WoD…kinda (/glares at pathfinder). But as long as there is “hope” players will keep on paying their subs, coming to the forums asking for High Elves. If Blizz takes that hope away they’re more likely to quit.
It is completely appropriate for the people I was referring to. It’s not for the reasonable who realize there is no proof of bias from the company that makes this game. It’s for those here making exaggerated claims which are NOT proven and are actually fake news or simply trolling.
that very thing started to happen when wowhead datamined like 10 different blue eyes for blood elves. this is the issue - high elves arent really about eyecolor, and dont have to be about eyecolor- the problem is the devs used eyecolor as the only way to differentiate them. if that color went to belves, it would be as if the devs gave the horde, the long requested alliance allied high elf. it was bad enough, the first time 13 years ago, but twice is more than some folks could stomach.
oh you dont want to get me started. i’m trying to be reasonable. dont push your luck.
