Blizzard being scared to just give blood elves blue eye option

Former high elves. Elves who abandoned their longstanding allies to join with their ancient enemies. Blood Elves, who, (and this is a direct quote from Blizzard) “tend to have different priorities and behaviors than their high elf kindred.”

Just a matter of time. When do the Blizz Devs that all main horde, have a statue of Thrall outside their office, give horde the better racials and races and mounts, and plays songs at blizzcon about how horde are awesome and how Alliance players are f______ idiots (and far worse things in that song about alliance) not give horde everything they want?

what song you talkin bout?

2011 blizzcon. Go to website rockpapershotgun dot com and search alliance song. There is a Forbes article on it, too.

A band named Cannibal corpse was playing or clips played that said how awesome horde are and…some really bad things about alliance players that I won’t repeat here…and Blizz selected to play on their main stage…

Later said it was a joke…

i mean you can call what youre pointing out as concern trolling. if that band member was an alliance main and said that about the horde id just laugh it off. im not gonna stop playing horde and being prideful about my faction because of what one person who i dont even know thinks

You are forgetting that Blizz let him/played his song at blizzcon. Blizz Devs are biased towards horde, we all know, but to let a song play about alliance players should off themselves and are f______ whatever, is beyond words. I fail to find any humor in telling alliance players to off themselves. Also, when have any Dev berated horde? Always the alliance because they all main horde and hate alliance.

Horde will get what they want. Keep your pride.

Okay wait.

That wasn’t… what the song was about.

Apathy is Blizzard’s preferred poison, not fear.

If you say so.

they probably already paid them and who knows if anyone even bothered to screen that footage

The fact that they even considered showcasing a video of someone saying things that they themselves would ban a player for, at their own convention, is mind boggling. Just the homophobic slurs alone made Blizzard look undeniably stupid. Let alone directed at half of their playerbase after said players paid out the butt to attend their fancy walk-in commercial.

Kaplan laments his community’s toxicity, but the man can’t figure out that his company’s attitude cultivated that toxicity.

If you just want it to end, why not to ask for human skin tones for void elves? Why blue eyes for belves would end an alliance request? Blizzard may add blue eyes for blood elves, but if they do, they will lose players.

They knew. They applied censor bleeps. So yeah they absolutely knew what was in that video. You think a convention this big Blizzard would just show a video they haven’t gone over a million times? If not once? The entire show is scripted and scheduled by professionals.

Yeah, small indie company can’t afford to vet the people or recordings they play at blizzcon on main stage.

Someone passed that on, who loves horde and hate alliance, who thought it was funny. And alliance are to believe that Blizz Devs don’t favor horde.

Ok.

do you know that for a fact?

Oh good. Nearly 10 year old news is so exciting. Especially this nonsense that gets trotted out when people need to pretend blizz favors the horde and can’t find anything recent.

So you’re saying a multibillion dollar company, owned by a larger, more billion-dollary company just decided to show a video at their ‘all eyes on us’ convention, without so much as looking at it? Do you really need proof of the contrary? Really?
