Blizzard /Activision should join this initiative to combat toxic gamers

So where is the organization against toxic game developers? The reason EA had to join that is because THEY SUCK!!!

This will also fix that, a gatekeeper to let the right people in. Also what does catholic have to do with anything. We are keeping the game environment clean and holding people accountable fkr their action. The digital land scape is like the wild west right now, law and order is needed and a heavy hand even more so to punish those who would commit toxic behaviors while keeping would be actors in line.

Imagine if suddenly wow, swtor, sony, xbox and all other major dev/ publishers join this program.

Gamers would risk the consequences of getting their online interaction cut off if they do not behave themselves. They can feel resentful all they want inside but so long as nothing outward escapes then they who cares? Hate away but stew in your own hate. Its on you. At lease you are not bringing it in game.

Adl will determine who would and would not get access. So your info an profile will be manage by someone unbais.

So, people who post things like the OP?

If you actually cared about the good of people you would understand instantly what the Catholic church has to do with this in the context that I used it.

You can explain it again and again and you aren’t explaining a new idea. It is the same idea that has launched atrocity after atrocity in human history and every single one had the exact same motivation you and this idea has. It’s great idea but this is a wall human society has bloodied itself every other century trying to enforce.

Your wrong. Your intent is righteous and good but this action and all the actions which get thrown out to enforce this intent are the same that have already been in charge. Change Catholic to Progressive, idolatry to bigotry, to punish sin to punish toxic, enforcement to enforcement, for safety of people to for the safety of the people, for the good of society to the good of society. Your not having new ideas. This isn’t a new drive. It’s the same seed of evil that has already destroyed society.

Social Justice? You mean censoring of free speech. Take that communist idea to the door and don’t let it slap you on the way out.

in online gaming? not really.

Been playing mmo’s for 17 years and no, I can remember no such time.

Well, we are not those people. We are doing this right. We are getting rid of toxic people and we do that by taking away their privileges to interact online in the game of their choice.

You liken it to atrocities committed in history’s . I see it as more of a parent disciplining a child. Act bad get toys taken away. Behave and submit an apology and you will get it back. Simple as that.

Doesn’t the ADL’s denial of the Armenian genocide make it a hate group by it’s own definition?

What a truly marvelously sounding way of going bankrupt.

They only go bankrupt if there is an alternative. If everyone get on bored there will be no alternative.

characteristic of the writings of George Orwell, especially with reference to his dystopian account of a future totalitarian state in Nineteen Eighty-Four .

All it’s going to take is one person getting upset in Battlefield on a bad day, getting pushed over the edge by some “umadlolbro” trolling them, some heated harsh language being exchanged, and then switching to a different game to find themselves banned there because of their “online” profile behavior to result in a very expensive lawsuit, chargebacks, or that person and everyone they know and can convince refusing to buy products by associated companies again.

A drop in the bucket. These are all private standards and you sign your rights away when you play it. They can leave but more will take their place or those people will ask to come back when all of the triple a titlez they want to play is under this new initiative.

Wow. This is the worst idea I have seen in awhile. Like even as a troll I expected better.

I think you’re underestimating just how much a significant population of the internet hates EA, and EA going Orwellian thought-crime is going to explode in their faces a great deal worse than the loot-box scandal not only cost them billions, but that also raised such a high stink that the Politicians sat up and paid attention to gaming enough to realize they could start taxing the hell out of microtransactions.

But… shrugs I don’t really have a horse in the race, though I will enjoy watching the fires while munching on popcorn. I haven’t touched an EA game since ME:Andromeda, and I’m not going to ever again.

Some things to keep in mind:

Germany does not have the same free speech laws as the US – it is, in fact, illegal to display any insignia of the Third Reich. Any attempt to do this type of activism in the US will be a hard row to hoe.

As for Blizzard…this past spring there was a poster saying he wanted to use WoW to push alt-right talking points. Poster hasn’t been seen since. Nor has his post.

Teaching people how to be professional victims. You too can win gold in the victimhood olympics. Keep politics out of WoW.

This is one of the most outrageous post/suggestion I’ve seen in a while, yeah let’s just bring the law or add more restrictions in a VIDEO GAME that encourages punishment in a environment that peoples behavior is to let loose and have fun the way they want after X activities…When I get off work I get home and crush sensitive fairy players if they so choose to take it personal that’s on them. I have news for you Phelios it’s called the ignore button I suggest you learn how to use it.

No support and reported for trolling.

Go become a Police officer.

I’m not generally a toxic person but this seems like a getgud moment and a eye opener for sensitive players foolish enough to think this will help gaming for EVERYONE.
