When you have a bonus on path A, it is the same as applying a penalty on path B. And what you have noted about efficiency over time is why I said in my original reply that the bonus/penalty would need to be 30-50%; at minimum. Ultimately however, most of the community would use whichever one gives higher xp/hour functionally killing off the other option. And if you make them give the same xp/hour people will just use the more convenient option. It’s simple behavioral psychology.
It needs to hinder the flow, because theyre getting a massive chunk of convenience for free, that cuts out a major source of tedium, and dis-incentivizes social interaction.
If there were more things in the game that incentivized social interaction (See: FFXIV) you could afford to just throw rdf in the game with no issues. But there arent
some people have waaaaayyy too much time on their hands. has the ability to chill and just play the game been lost? wheres the enjoyment when your viewing it like that? now its a job not entertainment.
and here we go again with the proven false social interaction argument.
Classic wow is literally built for those people. Tedium and Time investment > skill
Proven false? This is literally blizzards design philosophy.
we used to sit around and make fun of the number crunchers on our server because we were knocking content out like crazy just laughing at ourselves and gettin it done. there was no room for the whiny voice technical guy on nordrassil back in the day. we just enjoyed ourselves and killed it.
which is based on the false foundation that people left to their own devices will create positive social interactions on their own as a majority. and that has repeatedly been proving false, and if youre arguing that their design philosophy is the right one… boy are you on the wrong path lmao.
Yeah you put a whole bunch of time into the game and you get a whole bunch. Min maxing in this game is fun, but pointless because at the end of the day the main contributing factor to your success is who much time you put in and tedium you avoid and NOT how good you actually are at the game.
Yeah, if you really wanted to incentivize manually formed groups, you’d probably have to nerf gear drops from dungeon finder instances, or buff the normal instance gear drops. I honestly wouldn’t mind that at all, though I can already hear several hundred of the people on these forums screaming in the distance at this.
Yeah! In Phase 4!
okay, so youre arguing from a basis of skill and competition. i refer you back to my remark about it being entertainment AND a VIDEO GAME not a competitive sport.
If you dont see that : being nice to the tank bc hes a good tank, and generally you need tanks so you can add him to your friends list later, and hoping he was impressed with your performance so in the future when hes online, you wont be LF1M TANK in trade Is required by the tedium imposed by the lack of RDF idk what to tell you, you dont play the game.
Do you speak english
I don’t understand why people feel the need to make suggestions to Blizzards about solutions. They do not want to implement it and never have. It’s not about what the players want, it’s clear given the outcry that a majority of the community of LFD, and despite that, they still decided not to. They have their reasons and it doesn’t matter what solution of suggestions anyone in this community comes up with.
XP buff isn’t particularly useful when wanting to spam heroics at max level.
for this to work at max level it would have to be badges
Youd have to do like a repeatable quest that gave you like 2 valor for every heroic completion, but you have to manually walk in. and make it so rdf gets the badges for only the 1st dungeon they do.
Just add RDF, simple.
even simpler, its not happening, so dont worry about it.
Yup, just add it and move on.
