Blizz you gotta separate out XP-Off Twinking

to be fair, look at the other 79 players, all the numbers pretty similar. This guy must have decided to level his twink. The fact that this is the only screenshot i took while leveling it must have been a rare occurance.

I do find it a little funny that I provided the screenshot that will probably be linked by twinks now to prove the opposite of my point. lol oh well.

You showed us a SS with some amazing numbers, during the “separated” era of Experience on battlegrounds.
I was just asking if that player has done something wrong?
That player knew the class and spec for sure, would that be the problem?

As someone who just started twinking, I’m a little conflicted about separating xpoff and levelers. It does take time to twink a toon, but not that much time. I enjoy obliterating poorly geared players and dread going up against a fully twinked toon with more skill than me.

That being said. Solo-queing bgs as a twink is no guarantee of a win. And you can get rekd pretty easily, (or perhaps I just need lots better twink gear).

However, just halting levels at x9 puts you at a huge advantage against an x0 player, regardless of your gear. And once you start winning matches it gets easier and easier to acquire gear.

I’m actually enjoying twinking for 1 reason. My leveling ends at 29! There are plenty of dungeons available at that level and plenty of mogs to collect. 29 is stupid easy to get to and it feals just as easy to twink.

At 29 you have roughly 50% of your active spells. (at 59 its probably 75% - which makes for a even juicier twink due to the amount of stuff to explore and find - and 59 is easy to level to) I FIND IT HARD TO JUSTIFY LEVELING FROM 60 to 120 FOR A MEASLY 3-4 EXTRA ACTIVE SPELLS. (Sad design but thats another topic)

Talents are worthless because they’re designed around latest xpac endgame.

29 is my endgame now and it feels refreshing. (I may even consider 59) I wouldn’t mind if they separated xpoff from levelers but I wouldn’t mind if they left it as is cause its fun curb stomping.

You would if you could never get in a BG…

Not really. That would be a problem in the old days because you were only allowed to have 1 faction per server. With 2 factions you could start a guild(s) that has both alliance and horde. Then blizzard could add a mode that lets guild vs guild go at it. Virtually 0 queue times with that method.

You mean wargames, where games can only happen when scheduled and enough are on?

You’re very selective with your quotes  Almost like you wanna slide something

I like conspiracies. Personally I think blizz could give us near 0 queue times but don’t because their business model is to always leave you wanting more. Either that, or it has to do with server resources cause it feels like there are lots of players playing bgs. It feels like a pigeon-hole problem and no pigeon should have to wait more than 15 mins to get into a pigeon-hole. I dunno, it’s late. I’m not thinking clearly.

Nope I’m pretty straight forward. Queues would suck for twinks, so Blizzard likely won’t do that. It’s better to come to a compromise gear wise than segregate players from BG queues.

You just glossed over everything I said with my last posts and are sticking to your guns. Like I said. You’re very selective with your quotes. We get it. You don’t wanna separate xpoffs from levelers.

Perhaps there just aren’t enough xpoff twinks to justify xpoff twinks. That’s what Im concluding from your posts.

Your last post described wargames.

That’s exactly what I am saying. We aren’t talking just when you play or when I play. Have to take into consideration all hours of the day.

queue times are slow enough for people leveling there is no need for separation. You aren’t really a twink though, not better geared than levelers and no enchants. I wouldn’t have had much problems with you when I was leveling through the 20-29 brackets a couple days ago. Seems like you just quickly made a void elf and leveled it to 29 to say you are a twink that wants separate queues.

So if there are not enough xpoff twinks to justify xpoff twinks at all hours of the day then maybe, just maybe, one shouldn’t design to that tiny demographic. Or if they do design to it, design something different than whats currently implemented.

(Example: You and I are in the same guild. Not enough horde twinks, no problem Jugjr, I’ll switch to my horde twink and we’ll start up a match. Something like that.)

When brackets were separated, there was a major difference between a geared character and the average leveling character. This was a decade ago.
Moving forward to BFA, every item in World of Warcraft was adjusted and re tuned to control the power creep.
Currently entry level characters within the brackets are much closer to end bracket characters due to controlled stats and gearing options.

“Balance and Togetherness” is the movement which has been underway since BFA launch. We have had more attention to the balance and control of items within the lower brackets than ever before in WoW.
8.1.5 is coming soon, which adds even more opportunity for this theme.

Are my enchants showing up on this toon? Got a couple crusader enchants for 500g on the AH. Working on getting other gear and am leveling enchanting (got lots of mats from another toon). Will probably stick with this toon since I mostly main horde.

Edit: also ran some dungeons tonight and had fun with puggers. you gonna creep on me to make a point.

Not yet, It takes a day or so I guess.

Crusader shows up on your Warrior, not that toon. Also, you should SS your matches to show what a BA twink you truly are

Hows Adaptation working for you in the lower brackets?

Sigh. I never claimed to be a badass twink. And I give mad props to all the warriors out there who are leaps and bounds better than me. (I’m having fun thats all that’s important to me)

I am claiming to see and understand both sides in this thread.
