I can’t get why people seem to like the set so much or think it’s so good. I guess I just have bad taste, but I’m just not a fan.

Oh silly Orctang… If an issue hasn’t been addressed yet, then us players need to bring it up again and again. That is how we can effect change.
Also… it does effect me because I would like this set but don’t feel I need to spend more money on top of the box price and subscription.

The issue won’t be addressed since it continues to happen. They make sets to sell on the store which help keep the sub prices stable.

The tier sets look like ish. But who’d buy the new mogs if they also looked like ish? Very unfortunate situation all around.
can you guys take a look at the new mage set and add something to it? its so bare bones it looks likes a questing set
To be honest I am starting to think of it in a backhanded “well this is what greases the wheel so you can do your chores and satisfy our metrics” way 
but more because of how the game continues to be designed rather than the marketing and money

I do understand that you can pay gold for it. I would argue for most, farming 400k is a lot for purchasing two tokens to get this set. The point I am making in this thread is they are clearly putting a ton of work and polish into these store sets/mounts/etc that people can quickly impulse buy. A vast majority will pick spending $20 over farming up 400k just for this set and Blizz knows this.
If the majority of what they’ve put into the game in Shadowlands was as polished like this then I wouldn’t have as much of a problem. But come on… generic model gear across the board in ALL dungeons which don’t make sense to each specific dungeon, recolors of the same exact mounts INCLUDING the S2 Dungeon master achievement?
They’re clearly cutting corners in game and diverting a lot of their time into the store items that will make them the most money.

Ok, but I thought the transmog set was cool and you want it? At least you have the ability to earn it in game!
If it bothers you that you can’t have an optional transmog then you know what you can do to address this problem. Stop giving them cash altogether! This also applies to any other areas of the game that you might feel they are doing a bad job with.
The one thing about the forums that is true Blizzard doesn’t care what the players want in game.

Slightly lightening up the S1 dungeon keystone master mount for S2 Vs. a beautiful cat mount for money in the shop. How is that right?
“better” is subjective. if you aren’t wearing the whole set at once it’s pretty meh.
the cool shooting star effect is part of the cape for whatever reason, the gloves, boots and leg pieces might as well come from vanilla.
Please make sure to post this on all other mmo forums too. And yep. Even FFXIV has a cash store. Crazy how these mmos have cash shops huh? I mean, a lot in the GD forums think FFXIV is perfect and the almighty yet they have their own cash shop offering better things there than in-game.
