Wouldnt have changed much. The data was already visible for the sim people. And ce raiders etc typically have beta access anyway.
And for PvP you would need to have all the top dogs actually beta test and ignore retail with an ever shifting state of the game and i dont see that happening.
So is being on the community council just vehemently defending Blizzard and being an excuse bot? Saying there is no way they can get good data out of beta is worst take of my entire life. Top players on both the pve and pvp side of the game put a ridiculous amount of time into testing on beta and giving feedback.

M+ and raiding are my thing. PVP is a hot mess and I donât want anything to do with it. No mmos have good pvp, it is waste of development time to try making them work. You want pvp? Go play overwatch.

The short answer is stop trying to chase FoTM. Just play what you want, because the alternative is just miserably hopping between characters because you canât be happy unless you make the biggest numbers.

Until Blizzard comes along and does a knee jerk nerf to major mechanic functionality of a spec (Feral and Spriest) or completely redesigns a spec (Demo and SV hunter).
I change mains constantly because blizzard is VERY good at making something fun and then flat out destroying it a patch or 2 later. They pretty much want you to be in this cycle of running alts.
Not a fan of this sporadic buffing and nerfing with a machete approach that Blizz loves to take, but uh, I wouldnât mind if Blizz macheted us boomkins some buffs. Maybe take a look at our tree again?
