Blizz, please no more pathfinder next expansion

It’s not about seeing the content, that’s what they told you to get make PF seem palatable along with it’s a compromise. They won’t give you flying when you finish pt 1.

Aw, thanks, i had a rough week at work and needed a decent troll post to laugh at.

So you don’t like:

  1. Mobs every square inch of the map?
  2. Terrain that takes illogical and unnatural turns?
  3. Phasing that makes continuity unnatural?
  4. No dangerous elements in the world?

I agree! If the world were worth traveling on foot I wouldn’t mind. The problem is it isn’t. At least not beyond a week.

Pathfinder is fine.

6-8 month gap between Pathfinder 1 to Pathfinder 2 is… very questionable.

Pathfinder 1 should’ve been released 8.1 and allow for flying in all zones in the game. Pathfinder 2 should’ve unlocked flying in the two new zones. Pathfinder 3 should unlock flying in 8.3 zones.

Humm… I definitely like flying and i dont mind the pathfinder. While i wont say that you dont have some valid points i definitely prefer flying to be in the game.

A simple solution would be limit or remove flying while your flagged for PVP. World PVP is a much smaller percent of players than PVE.

I agree pathfinder needs removed or at least toned down. Waiting a year to fly is too much and people are sick of grinding time gated reps just to get a feature that we should have the moment we hit max level. Again if world PVP is that much of an issue there are other things that could be done besides completely removing flight from the game.

Newsflash: the game does not actually revolve around PvP, world or otherwise. Decisions affecting the game as a whole should not be based on the effect on PvP. You know what would be really unhealthy for the game? A mass exodus of subs at this point. The mass exodus of subs that would follow the removal of flight.

This just makes too much sense.

Stop that.

The way I see it, the problem with Pathfinder comes down to ignorance and incompetence.

The Devs don’t know how to make engaging content, that’s problem #1. I figure most of us pro-flyers wouldn’t mind being grounded for awhile if the content that the devs made were actually engaging and meaningful. With WoD and BFA (and a lesser extent, Legion) the content was a snoozefest waiting to happen, with path-finding the occasional headache. In WoD I felt disengaged from the content as if it had no real meaning. Make content that people want to play, and they probably wouldn’t think about flying for awhile. But the devs are so insecure in the content they made that they feel they must FORCE us to play it before flying over it. My $15, I play how I want - if you’re that insecure, then perhaps you should make content I’ll want to play regardless.

Problem #2 is ignorance. They claim they want player feedback and that they listen to the players. It’s pretty obvious they don’t. They look over the feedback, plug their ears with their fingers and go “la la la la la”. They stopped sharing sub numbers because of the flying fallout, iirc. The only way the game is going to be successful going forward is for Blizzard to accept that they screwed up and what they want isn’t going to be accepted by the players. Give the players what they want, in one form or another, so you don’t bleed subs out altogether. Because without their players paying for subs or blocks of gametime, they have no reason to keep making the game. Or maybe that’s what they want to do, I don’t know.

I for one like the game still, but I absolutely hate what it has become and the attitude Blizzard shows its players. I don’t sub to the game - I purchase blocks of gametime - but I’d like to keep doing so for the forseeable future. If Blizzard really cares this little, that may very well change.

I predict Pathfinder to be at least twice as strenuous next xpac.

Agreed.
I don’t really care about flying or Pathfinder. What I do care about is Blizzs attitude towards its customers that do want flying. They’re not being honest or communicating that type of attitude towards flying. Pathfinder isn’t a fun or creative solution to a difficult problem. Blizz created this mess now players have to deal with it, just like what they did with the economy during WoD.

Lazy and ignorant management is what I see it as.

My you love this topic. You posted nearly the exact same thing prior to your vacation.

What new nuggets of insight are you hoping for this time?

So we didn’t have flight for a full year, was world PVP fantastic in that time? Don’t bother answering, I’ve lurked the forums this whole time and already know the answer to that is no.

Pathfinder part 1 is good, great even if it gives your whole account access to flight for free. Part 2 is the worst thing WoW devs have added to this game, and I say that with zero hyperbole. Being forced to wait a full year to actually play the game is a horrible idea.

Uh, there already has been a mass exodus of subs. Many would return for no-flying.

WoW is a fraction of the subs it use to have.

My main is on ED and yes world PvP has been fantastic this year and a half of no flight. It was about the only saving grace for BFA.

Funny, the forums seem to have disagreed with that. And on top of that the Alliance has been 30% since what, January? It couldnt have been that amazing if one faction almost completely ignores it.
