Blizz owes the Alliance

That’s a very good explanation, and thank you for providing it.

Pretty sure Zandalari have a unique rig, homie.

It’s a very altered troll one according to blizzard devs. Just goes to show what you can do with clever altering of existing rigs (vulpera, zandalari) and still get quite a distinct look.
Compared to Kul tirans who is the only AR to get a brand new rig, which made KTs the AR with the most amount of dev work, just as much work as adding a brand new race like the pandaren or draenei.

It’s a modified Darkspear troll rig according to the Dev who made it.

Not correct, even the males are troll rigs according to the devs.
“It’s a modified Troll rig (straight, instead of hunch). Required a little more time on the touch ups. Same amount of time spent on them for customization options than the other allied races.”

Also not correct as the devs themselves said that kul tirans was the only ones with a fully new rig. Also it’s a bit incorrect calling Rexxars rig since it’s Rexxar using the kul tiran one, in no universe do anyone working in rigging/modeling and say “Let’s make a full new player ready rig for a single NPC, not a race, just an NPC”

Please do you know where we can find that? I have a big doubt about just believing devs like that when we have some similarities with these rigs.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t call what you’re saying into question.

I just had a brilliant idea for The Mummy 4… or is it 5?

Who knows at this point? All I know is that I’d let the cast of The Mummy step on me.

I guess Legion Void Elves were more different from Blood Elves than Dwarves and Dark Irons. Yet we are the lazy one.

Also, Void Elves are amazing. If you talk about BFA allied races, then yea. But Legion’s were better for Alliance.

And before someone tells me Broken were more interesting than LFD, the truth is that Broken would be like Dwarves. Everyone being like “Omg they’re so cool.” “They’re the best the Alliance has.”

Then you see 3 people playing them.

It was really only vulpera that caused more imbalance.

The races aren’t the greatest but the racials for them are pretty op.

This myth started because the MoP Zandalari use the nelf rig. They changed it in the beta.

This interview for the troll rig answer. Mind that they say unique rig, but that does not mean made from scratch but rather it’s an altered one from the original so it’s “unique”

For the kul tiran rig answer it’s here. It’s timestamped in the link so will start at the relevant part. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvG7VKwJb20&t=130s

Thanks, I will take a look about that. :slightly_smiling_face:

They’d be fine if the creators would just flesh them out, not with customizations and history from their parents races, but with their OWN developments going forward…

Alliance races are way better for M+

Numerically they even outsim Horde races depending on the spec/class.

An altered rig is still a new rig, homie.

…What he argued though is that kul tirans are the only ones with a brand new one, from scratch, not based upon any other. The zandalari is not from scratch and thus takes less dev time and resources to create, and is based upon another rig.
But I’m glad to have cleared that misunderstanding up for you.
