I agree that we are at a point in this game where people should be able to pay to skip any trivial content they want, specifically quest lines, including main campaigns. It’s not really pay to win even for the main campaign because endgame content is time gated anyway, so you’re not getting a jump on anything really impactful.
Maybe timegate the skip to x number of days after said content launches, but the longer WoW goes, the more we get into letting players play how they want. Guess what? A lot of players have no desire to run 200 fetch quests, and there are potential players that won’t even touch it because of that requirement.
Because it hasn’t been that. Categorically the launch of TWW hasn’t been bad.

Safe to say … complaining in the way you are that international multi-million (both in terms of code and dollar cost) projects break in weird way is silly. Yes, be annoyed - but be reasonable. This is normal in tech and what matters isn’t whether something is broke but rather how long it takes to be fixed.
TWW is no different and every problem so far have been fixed exceedingly quickly. Including things that aren’t even about the game but more so about how some players behave in stupid fashions (see folks en masse leaving dungeons when they don’t get their wanted trinkets).
FYI you can do the quest is is the seditious messages you can see on the map …
When you talk to the grumbling guys becareful when I used death touch their health went to near zero but they kept hitting me … as long as I beat them down it seemed ok …
if you do get them hitting you when they should be dead just run away till they reset …
the leaving after not getting trinkets USED to be corrected by causing a CD to the player …
I guess they removed that …

How could someone miss 4 big questlines in the first zone and a couple of chapters in the campaign? Or do you mean the 5th chapter is arbitrary, and it should unlock sooner?

Weirdly, if it was a brand new and unique race it wouldn’t have an unlock and be available immediately lol

5th chapter is in Hallowfall and only features the Arathi, it has nothing to do with the Earthen. Yes, the unlock would have made more sense after Chapter 4.
The whole campaign then wraps up very abruptly and with an odd sense of unearned finality as if Bliz had to run to the bathroom and didn’t have time to properly wrap up the story.
So yeah, sounds like it should’ve had them release earlier than the 5th chapter, since it doesn’t involve them, and it’s just a mechanic that prevented us from getting them earlier.
Probably should’ve been done after Chapter 1, since that’s literally us training and bringing them into our factions.

Kaivax last week slipped and said it was Chapter 4 too in the original time gating announcement. Purely a coincidence, I’m sure.

There is a whole lot of story for campaign after Hallowfall … BUT you don’t need it I think for the Earthen Unlock just the Earthen story chain that doesn’t always work right
