Since you are apparently loathe to read my entire post I’ll sum up the part that has your shorts in a twist.
I have never purchased gold for this game and yes it is a violation of the ToS.
The reference is to players that have asked for the Wow token to be made available to classic players. The discussion I was having with Corpse was about how Blizzard responded once classic was on the table and how “you think you do but you don’t” was or was not prophetic/calculated.
Blizzard has the data about, among other things, how popular and “fiscally worthy” certain game decisions have been. Corpse makes the statement that J Allen Brack knew that old school play’s popularity has waned and what occurred proves him correct. We all know, players and Blizzard, that gold buying in classic is rampant and was defended in this forum. Thus why I chose the example of the Wow token as something that is also desired and defended by a great many players in classic. Though that item is the different play to which I was referring (I don’t want to see it) not something obviously in violation of the ToS.
But if you’d actually followed the convo you’d have realized that.
