Australia is not far behind, we are a micro managed nanny state, it’s sometimes funny the laws that are put in place for “safety”

I really and truly hope we can, but it will take a very long time to do so. Virtually everything we have has some form or part that is made over there. They even send our steel over there to do business (I’m in Indiana) and sell our contracts to them. My husband lost his job two months ago due to being sold out to China.

Its a more complex issue than just disinvesting though. I’m just a disabled housewife in Indiana, just trying to get by and play a game that brings some form of happiness to my sad, sorry existence. And that’s just the truth.

What they did on behalf of the Chinese government against the Hong Kong player was also extreme.

Is going? Violation of Human Rights has been their M.O. for decades upon decades.

So you have no counter-argument, why reply to me then… stumps me

Cause I see you posting often and I agree with you for the most part, but I’m still not of mind for you to stoop to that. You’ve been pretty cool, why go there now?

But whatever, do what you’d like. Its your morals, your views, your life. :peace_symbol:

Sums it up pretty well.

But you have the social credits to do so.

it really is that simple.

they outsource because we let them. then they sell products from the industries they outsourced back to us.

if we simply didn’t allow them to outsource (ie banned those imported goods) it would be over…because that is how they make money.

that applies to the US and western europe by the way

You didn’t have an argument for me to counter in the first place. You’ve yet to address the argument in my first post anyway. Stop trolling.

Because Spotti is a rampant troll and does this kind of stuff all the time. I already put my argument forward and their best response was “OMG why are you insulting people!?” when they’ve done that rampantly on other threads…

I’m of the belief that this statement came from a lawyer and was a message to cover their asses legally. I’d hope they would know better than believe this would make it all better.

Pretty much, corporations playing both sides of the picket fence.

also remember china has massive tariffs on us goods…the whole relationship is a corrupt one way street that benefits only corporations and china.

and it only exists because the west lets them get away with it, because western corporations dislike livable wages, human rights, and accountability

You never made an argument to address, all you are resorting to is name calling. If you don’t feel like making an effort then stop wasting people’s time with your lame comments. Cheers.

Too true.

A CEO rarely if ever would write such a statement themselves. I’m sure it went through several lawyers, and PR people before they deemed it good to go.

Yea but it would take a bit. Its very ingrained into everything we have and own. And you’d have to have our legislators on board to actually put it into effect.

Is it an election year? One might make a promise they don’t intend to keep lol

Could you be any more obviously trolling?
