they want you to think that history is like evolution. that everything happened gradually over a long time. that you are a speck in a vast and inhumane universe. that you don’t matter in the grand scheme of things. and that you can do what you want as long as it doesnt affect anyone negatively.
everything that is in the Bible they do the opposite.
I tell you this. If we were born at any other time; we would be farmers, we would be shepherds, we would be tentmakers, and fishers.

I mean, doesnt the Overwatch League do the same stuff yet not get hit by this?
I mean they had official Pride Week sweatbands and one of the OWL teams gave a moment of silence to Florida shooting victims.
I just find it strange
As critical as I’m inclined to be towards Blizz, I don’t think the Mei statue removal has to do with the current shenanigans. It probably just sold out. If they wanted to keep people from using Mei merch as an icon of resistance, they’d have removed the Mei pin and clothes from the store. Those items are much more likely to be displayed at a protest.
The Chinese government is not just coming down on Hong Kong, they are also threatening Taiwan and have put many (reported close to a million) Chinese muslims in concentration camps. I don’t care who you are, or your political leanings anyone standing with or bowing to the Chinese government right now is not just immoral but completely unethical. People are doing and crying more about the supposed first world wage gap, while China is rounding up and imprisoning its own citizens for being muslim, and abusing them. The world vowed never again, but I guess a quick buck is all it takes to turn a blind eye and silence people speaking out. Ban or no ban, people need to be talking about the fact that what he said was WORTH being banned. He knew the outcome and did it anyway. Sure Bliz is within their rights, that doesn’t mean that they are on the right side.
if i understand what happened correctly, the taiwan branch of blizzard, that employs taiwanese people, were the ones who issued the initial punishment on blitzchung. blitzchung himself, was in taiwan at the time of the event. the taiwan branch didnt want to get embroiled in the civil war between hong kong and china, so over-reacted.
I think you mean Chinese Taipei, comrade.
whats taipei? is that chinas name for taiwan? i know taiwan was just recently reabsorbed by china, right? they probably have alot of political troubles already. i dont know much about the region, to be honest, but it doesnt sound like taiwan is in the best position politically, to be challenging china’s situation with hong kong.
Their reward is not being sent to an organ harvesting concentration camp.
Taipei is the Communist Party’s name for the occupied state of Taiwan.
by occupied you mean to say, against the will of the taiwanese people?
Really just controlled by the Chinese. I’m sure there are communist sympathizers there so it wouldn’t be against everyone’s will.
just trying to figure out why the taiwanese branch of blizzard had such a strong reaction to blitzchung’s statement. all i could think of was they didnt want to get involved in the civil war.
Taiwan is currently under the control of the People’s Republic of China, after the PRC claimed sole sovereignty over the territory over competing interests from the Republic of China (different than the PRC) and Japan.
So the reaction of the people in power there would be in line with whatever the mainland Party wants. Blizz has to make the Chinese Communist Party happy in Taiwan just like they do on the mainland, because right now the PRC claims it owns Taiwan.
Blizzard has the right to abuse and cancel the freedom of speech on their platforms.
The consumer has the right to cancel their Blizzard accounts, and speak out publicly in favor of boycotting Blizzard for bending the knee to murderous authoritarian tyrants.
There. I just saved you 57 paragraphs worth of word salad.
Except they break their own rules, and do not enforce them, except arbitrarily. Overwatch’s story is heavy with political statements. The Fact that everyone is straight in China is also showing the company is nothing but a talking mouthpiece as far as their values. Their political ideology is market specific, and supports which generates money. This unfortunately went International and they can’t tow two different narratives.
So you bring absolutely no facts just saying but conservatives said. I never said any talking points except I pointed to the actual announcement from his employer on their official website yet you say its not a fact.
Dude you really need to get out of the echo chamber. You cant even see impartial facts when they are linked to.
Kap chose to opt out of his contract (again personal choice) for a short term gain instead of getting traded. He thought he could get more money as a free agent.
He was never fired. Never. Stop lying and saying he was.
First of all, all the video you have linked are from reddit HongKong, a subreddit which is run by PROTESTERS. Their megathread tells you clearly that the sub is a protester rally sub. NOT a news sub. Any posts/video that shows protester violence gets immediately removed by the moderators. don’t believe me? try it.
Don’t get me wrong, I am a subscriber to that sub and am on that sub all the time, While there are videos that does show indisputable illegal police violence which should be investigated, most of the videos and articles on this sub has been heavily redacted or edited to be pro protester. In other words, an extremely biased source of information, where everything should be taken with a grain of salt. And don’t forget, police is ALLOWED to use a certain amount of violence to subdue law breakers, not ALL violence by the police is considered illegal.
It’s important that you compare these videos to pro government sources or fact check them with official police sources before believing in them without question.
A few old examples which was uploaded on to HK subreddit:
- a photo of a girl carried by 2 police with her pants at her ankle, with the title - Girl was being sexually assaulted by 2 male police officers, who took her pants off. This received a vast amount of views and up votes. Fact checking this incident on a news report which showed the full video, the 2 police were carrying her while clothed, she was struggling and kicking vigorously, through the struggle, her pants either was torn or something, but began to come off as she kicked.
The so called 2 police took the girl’s pants off and sexually assaulted her was completely false, purposefully created to incite public outrage.
- a post about the shooting incident showing a redacted video of the police firing a live shot at the chest of a protester (which incidentally was also the video shown on every single western newpaper).
The video was redacted to ONLY show the part where the police fired a shot at the protester seemingly without much provocation.
Full videos captures by other reporter shows an entirely different story, linked below:

One lone police officer was ambushed by a mob of protesters holding hammers and various other lethal weapons, the cop was running away, tripped and fell, the mob proceeded to bash him on the ground with the weapons they are holding.
Back up police arrived but the protesters continued to beat the fallen cop without any signs of backing off. In the midst of the chaos of a few seconds, a cop pulled the trigger on a protester.
Now, you ask if the police could have handled this better such as a warning shot in the air? sure, it could have been. But the law stipulates very clearly, if they believe their own life or a colleague’s life in danger, they are authorised to shoot. You can argue all you want and expect a perfect response by police, but the reality is, they are under immense pressure AND another human being’s life in is grave danger, it is simply unreasonable to expect a perfect response from every single cop, they can only judge the situation at the time and make a split second decision on what should be done.
I’m not very familiar with HK laws, assuming they are similar to US and UK. If a situation occurred like that in the unite states, many more of those protesters would have been shot, charged with serious assault on police, maybe even attempted murder.
Now, In response to the videos you posted, here are some videos taken before the incidents.
- CUHK student recounts her experience.
she can recount whatever she likes, if no concrete evidence is supplied then there is ALWAYS the possibility that this is false, just like how the protesters made a fuss about certain people died from police violence which was later proven FALSE by release records from the hospital. Innocent unless proven guilty, fundamental of a democratic legal system, remember that.
- It was a police response to the incident below.

Protesters were violently beating up OTHER HK citizens. However, I do agree that police has been overly violent in the video you posted. The beating does look excessive, which seems to have stopped once the protesters are on the ground. a later video showed the police left the carriage to stand guard outside, a number of the protesters inside the carriage were later arrested by reinforcement police officers.
Unfortunately I cannot find any videos immediately prior to the beating to show why the police took those actions, which are critical to help determine whether the beating was reasonable OR unreasonable. I would not go so quick to judgement on this based on a short video without showing what incident caused it.
- HK threatening to shoot unarmed civilian. In response to the incident below

Pretty self explanatory, as for that guy standing in front of the police, he is impeding the police from doing their duties, in a VIOLENT incident, not just a normal duty.
Here is an excerpt from Extinction protests in Australia:
“An elderly woman screamed, “You’re hurting me, please stop this,” as police dragged her away, after she refused to leave the road.”
“A Queensland Police spokesman said seven people were charged, including for allegedly contravening police directions, walking onto a roadway when not authorised, obstructing police and public nuisance.”
This is what people get charged for in a democratic protest, AS THEY SHOULD BE for obstructing police duties. now compare this to Hong Kong.
- Hong Kong police plant evidence to citizen in plain sight.
What exactly did they plant? the helmet was next to another protester already, one police moved that helmet from one protester to another, for all we know it could have been that protester’s helmet which he dropped near the other protester to begin with, what evidence exactly is planted??
Also, police plant evidence in PLAIN SIGHT? you don’t see the irony in that title? Police are obviously aware of media presence around them, and they proceed to PLANT the evidence in PLAIN SIGHT??? You think they have not graduated from preschool?
- Police disguised as protesters.
Nothing wrong with that. Police already announced that they do infiltrate the protesters to help with arrest. It’s completely legal and an action any police force would take in a situation like this.
As for your suggestion that undercover police are inciting violence, this was rumour spread widely, with ZERO evidence to back it up, no videos, nothing, just rumour, so if you want to spread propaganda like that, BACK IT UP WITH PROOF.
Once again, I strongly encourage people to look at news on both sides, and don’t read the propaganda from biased sources, if you have to, then read biased propaganda sources from BOTH sides, compare them, THEN make the decision.
