Blizz, Hong Kong, Freedom of speech, lets have an Adult discussion

Are you one of those people who uses the UN definition of free speech? Because “human rights” are the most unenforced thing ever. If you’re talking about constitutional free speech then it still wouldn’t protect him here. Firstly he was on a private platform with a contract that he violated. Secondly “Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times” can be taking as inducing violence so again, not protected by free speech.

Have you ever bought from walmart? Or any other international company? Guess what, they would have done the exact same thing.

So i assume you are boycotting all chinese products as well? Any company who has done business with china? No?

Dont be naieve and dont be emotional. Blizzard enforced their anti politics policy. That is all.

Or continue your boycott and feel free to mail all your gold and stuff to Felsavior-zuljin or Razorsong-aggramar as you won’t be needing it anymore  <3

I canceled my sub and uninstalled I can assure you I wont be giving a cent to blizz, I’m on the forums to spread the word and try to convince people to boycott.

He chose to participate in the tournament and he chose to break the rules. He got disciplined, that is all that happened, nothing more, nothing less.

You are entitled to your opinion of me, i for one prefer to use common sense and not go on rants about political views. Blizzard will keep getting my money as long as the game they provide gives me enjoyment and entertainment and i won’t feel one ounce of shame that they disciplined a player for breaking their rules.

Now that you are boycotting Blizzard, can you start with the forums and take your politics with you out of my game that you are no longer interested in.

Some people quit their jobs over this.

To quote the knife-eared fools, “What have you given?”

As for going on the forums to… Spread dissent? Hope people catch on? I mean… There’s a 1000k long post about that already. And forums are still moving.

Your efforts mean nothing. China has been abusing human rights for decades upon decades. Not giving Blizzard money does nothing for the cause you’re supposedly so upset about.

On the nosey! Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Dont you see we can send a powerful message if everyone stops giving money to blizzard, stand your ground and have some principles

Can I have your pets then? They want a new home.

OP is gonna throw this huge fit then go buy more products made in China while claiming hes fighting the regime. If you want to boycott then stop using Blizzard’s services, you’re just adding to their traffic numbers right now.

SO MUCH this. Anyone on the forum suddenly taking the “I’m against China stance” after this, but didn’t care about it for the past 50+ years is just hopping on the bandwagon.

We? Who is this we?

Are we also boycotting Walmart, Nike, Apple, Starbucks, etc?

Or only companies convenient and trendy that don’t actually effect us?

You know what, I’m going to do the opposite just to spite you. One sec, buying a store mount…

Maybe that 25 bucks can be used by Blizzard’s Secret Service to silence people faster.

Let me know when you take that stand at the Capitol Building or the White House. The US and China are about to sign off on a trade deal. Where’s your moral outrage?

I get the sentiment of keeping politics out of games, but surely one can see the irony in the situation. Blizzard’s (and other companies like it) policy on inclusivity is entirely at odds with everything going on.
I don’t think this is the hill Blizzard wants to die on.

are you going the whole way and deleting your account? or are you just yapping on the forums?

Did you know, freedom of speech actually applies to who you do business with?
More specifically, if I wanted to buy a product or if Blizzard wanted to sell a product, this constitutes freedom of speech as long as neither the company or individual is discriminating against anyone or selling something that is illegal?
