Blizz, Hong Kong, Freedom of speech, lets have an Adult discussion

Except it CAN work like that, each platform can choose,
Especially when your realize there is a huge difference between irrelevant profanity and and hatred, or just stating your stance on freedom and civility.
One is useless and considered vile and the other should be aspired to.

there is no difference if you remove emotion side.

Suffering is an “emotional” response I’m not going to ignore or support!

You just hear about China’s human rights record this week? How is that even possible?

Of course not, they have been $hit for a long time, but this is the first v’e seen of blizzards direct support of it.
Esspecially to this level, they could have just condemed his thoughts, or given a warning,
The level of response was up to them, and then they decided to take back his winnings and ban him,
You don’t have a tournament without player support or players for that matter.

So you only cared when Blizzard banned a Hearthstone player and not when China shot two protesters?

I DID care, but blizz had nothing to do with that part, so it obviously didn’t effect my game time.
When Amazon support the $hit, i criticize them, over at Amazon,
When Google support the $hit, i criticize them, over at google,
But not before they become involved…

Yet he did not want to ask Blizzard permission before making a selfish decision on a live televised event throwing them in a political storm they didn’t want in the first place.

What would it take for you to forgive Blizzard? They seem to be between a rock and a hard place when it comes to China.

I am sorry if I was in Blizzards position and some guy lobbed me in with him to speak his political views as if they are my own I would have done the same thing hit the ban hammer, took back the winnings and apologized since now my bottom line is being threatened over a decision that was not my own all thanks to a client.

…So you think the “bottom line” is the most important thing in this story?
Well then i guess humanity really is doomed in the long run,
Because is money is the only justification at the end of the day, everything else takes a back seat…

Personally i put the quality of human life above an organization puffing up their balance sheet, and i don’t think others should be punished for having the same view…

No its the fact you piss off the Chinese government they censor your game from its population which effectively cuts most your profits and the Chinese Subscriber base completely.

…? so your saying it IS about the money then? … the “bottom line”

Everyone unsubbing please send your things asap

Which leads to Blizzard revenue going down with the quality of the game, not to mention job losses abroad and in the US.

Corporations are designed to make profit, not take political stands that are akin to corporate suicide.

No its not all about money at all, Its about the future of a corporation that needs money to stay afloat. The real thing is this guy broke terms of service, he did not even ask he just decided to speak his political views and thus put bliz in a bad spot with the Chinese government who can shut off that part of the world which would cost subscribers.

This guy didn’t just suicide his career he damn near destroyed the game for his fellow Chinese gamers as well.

They were making plenty of money before they started selling to china, the fall out would be minimal,

And any fallout would still be far better than supporting the horrible $hit the Chinese have been up to.

Its a moral argument, not a financial one!

Okay, understand. Unsubscribing and deleting all of your characters and never buying, paying more for and to Blizzard EVER AGAIN WON’T CHANGE ANYTHING

NOT EVEN IF EVERYONE DOES IT

YOU WILL STILL BUY PRODUCTS MADE IN CHINA

LIKE YOU DO EVERYDAY
