Blizz, Hong Kong, Freedom of speech, lets have an Adult discussion

Maybe you just found their next meme right there

He’d do it again out of principle because he’s proud of his home. Does that equate to “he should get a harsher punishment”?

Free Hong Kong

Who cares let it go Jesus…

I’d prefer to not let actiblizzard get away with this. Thanks for the input tho

The more voices the better. No matter where they are.

This doesn’t belong in the arena forums. Take it to GD where everyone else is spamming about it. The arena forums are the boonies. No one talks to us. We hide here for a reason.

Well I can promise you if anything ever is done it’s not gonna be because of the random gnome mages post in the forums. Likely nothing will be done because no one cares lol.

Really? You really wanna blame the people in Taiwan for not standing up to China? Do you know anything about Taiwan at all???

Blizzard is not “the people of Taiwan”. I have no idea how you managed that leap of logic.

I said “people in Taiwan”, like the people in Taiwan working at Blizzard. Blaming anyone in Taiwan in general, working for Blizzard or not, for not “standing up to China” is just crazy talk.

ok so what exactly are you doing to “be on the right side of history”? posting a complaint thread on a gaming forum?

dude broke the rules he agreed to and was punished. yes blizzard went overboard with the punishment but they haven’t done anything that “violates human rights”

Quote for us the rules he broke.

We’ll wait.

So you’re quitting? Can I have your stuff?

Countries have been violating human rights for decades. I’m not sure why this one event has so many people up in arms but things like Rwanda and Syria people are like meh

There’s quite literally a massacre of the Kurds (our oldest and most loyal ally in fighting ISIS) going on in Syria as I type this, just because our current US president pulled out a handful of US troops and gave Turkey permission to go in there.

I think we’ve had enough threads on this.

Please stop.

There has, in fact, been a recent upswelling in incidents involving Western companies kneeling for the Chinese government. This is just the only incident related to Blizzard, hence it’s what we’re talking about here.

“engaging in any act that, in Blizzard’s sole discretion, brings you into public disrepute, offends a portion or group of the public, or otherwise damages Blizzard image.”

is the rule he agreed to and which was cited for his ban. he broke the rules and was thus punished for it. i already stated i think they went too far but there isn’t anything i can do about it.
