Not sure if genuine question, but it’s referring to a “gotcha” line; something you’re essentially pushing someone to say that’s easily attacked.
Yes, it does. I’m guessing you disagree and think this is all “outrage culture” then?

Last time I checked, that was the main goal, yes lol.
China is a totalitarian state capitalist country, not a communist country.
The statement below, as you can see The Weibo account in question is run by the Chinese company NetEase, not Blizzard.
So it is not a Blizzard official statement at all and they are trying to totally mislead a lot of people.
Yes I did read the article. China added that part about pride of our country. It wasn’t in the original statement. The original ended with the terms of service of the contract. And if you still don’t believe? That’s your choice. Every person makes their own in this democracy.
It’s posted right above your head.
…um…no. We’re not boycotting Blizz because they do business with China; we’re boycotting Blizz because they acted rashly in their handling of one of their players. A person can buy something that happens to be made in China and support change in China or object to their behavior as well. Would you say that anyone with a cell phone supports China’s human right violations?
It is and it isn’t. Where do you think they got their talking points from?
Well, the American society is one big walking hypocrisy to the day foreigners stepped onto this land. This land belonged to the Native Americans but outside countries invaded, took over their lands and forced them to conform to the “American Dream” while deeming their way of life to be barbaric. Now we’re living in a society where people tell ethnic groups and minorities to go back to their own country and have hard pushes for immigration. All the while dragging the Native Americans name through the mud with stereotypes under a football team.
Hypocrisy is what this country was built on.
This is probably gonna get consolidated or deleted.
But cooperating with China by enabling sanctions that goes agaisn’t american values and by the same way human rights is not the same thing as buying stuff from China when it’s most often the only choice presented. I didn’t send a love letter to China like Blizzard, I just condem evil when I see it and try to live up my life in a decent way.
They changed the last part. You don’t think they wouldn’t with every other atrocity China has done? Lol okay dude
Blizzard: “We don’t want politics in our game.”
Players: “No, you wrong, Blizzard bad. China bad.”
This is just stupid to be honest.
See, at this point you are just going off on a tangent with nothing to back up your claim.
People have made this argument before.
They were wrong then, as you are wrong now.
I really had no idea. I personally never use that unless it’s a incredibly blatant, freudian level of a slip. I don’t see that here.
I wouldn’t call it that but I do think it’s blowing it out of proportion, is not a company’s task to promote values and in the long run, neither of this will account ot anything, since they still have players there, they have shareholders from there, and eventually, they will recuperate all they lost with this debacle.
Thats from NetEase, not Blizzard.
Was in an article, and no. Google it yourself I can’t post links. You are a troll. Must be a field day for you guys.
Only troll here is you lol.
That’s what I typed just above the link.

Owning something made by china does not instantly validate china’s decision to murder people in the streets of Honk Kong.
Owning something made in China does not invalidate ones decision to boycott a company supporting China.
Owning something made in China when there is literally no alternative is not something one should be guilty of.
Owning something made in China which you bought from a 3rd party such as a reseller does not influence or promote China or it’s economy.
Being ignorant of China’s actions until now and choosing to take arms to rally against them now is still a valid form of protest.
Shut. Up.
They didn’t say that. They made it political in the first place. Games are inherently political. And their games are extremely unsubtle about their political views considering the narrative of both WoW and Overwatch have heavy real life political parallels. Not to mention their constant inclusion of political content into their games to appeal to political demographics.
Why are there so many ******* morons today?
