By rich you mean people who hold down a job and work for a living? As my entire life I’ve had healthcare, and growing up my parents were hardly “rich” by any definition of the word.
not oppressive?
Social score.
thats way beyond oppressive and well into tyrannical.
+10 Social Points for you Comrade
The biggest problem I have is that I don’t qualify for aid because sometimes I can function like a regular adult, but then other times I cannot, which also means I cannot hold down a job. It’s the nature of what having autism is like. People like to think of autism as people having “more severe” or “less severe” versions, but I don’t think I’ve ever met someone on the autism spectrum (including myself) that hasn’t been both at different times.
My biggest wish is to be able to afford to go to college so I can get a job where I can work from home and have an income. I can’t afford college though, it’s way too expensive for me even with grants, even going to community college. I’d be in debt and way worse off than I am now. I’d also really like to have healthcare so I can see a therapist regularly.
Okay, that’s fair. It’s hyperbolic to compare it to a Communist st-oh, the founder of it based it on Communism. They live in these privacy-less tiny little bunks, where they crap, eat, and live together without ever truly interacting with each other due to their social media addiction.
Huh.
My parents owned their own small business growing up and could barely afford healthcare, we got it through the state we lived in (Washington state) because we were poor.
Have you considered tradeschool or an apprenticeship for something? College degrees are overblown and the market is flooded with graduates, and for some tradeskills you can even work on your own hours
I’m kinda surprised blizzard is allowing this to survive even merging other threads into here. That said I understand both sides of the argument, the blizzard PR side (kinda) but more so the Chung side. If blizzard had simply said “Hey don’t do that again or you’ll be banned” it would of been FAR better received. Banning him, taking his rightfully earned titles AND taking the money was simply the WRONG move and blizzard/activision should know better. I am of the mindset that I’ve already paid my wow sub and there are no refunds so I’m not going to waste money I’ve already spent. That said I WILL be keeping this and many other idiotic moves in mind when it comes time to reup.
Do you have any suggestions on what I could do? I’m a 5 ft 90 lb woman, and most trade schools involve pretty physical jobs that I’m not really sure I could do. I couldn’t even qualify for the military.
Keep in mind I also have to be able to work from home, too. I can’t drive as well so that hinders me a lot.
Man typing that up, I really was just dealt the short end of the stick here life wise lol. Thanks universe! Really appreciate it.
No its not i just explained why its not.
Trading with other countries are ALWAYS going to have different views they are different countries. The difference is if their views overlap with ours if we should conform to their views or keep ours. You cannot stop other countries from buying stock into your business thats what free market is.
I mean thats the problem though… The warning was in black and white in the contract he signed…
I don’t have a lot to say here. I’m not going to argue with anyone. I don’t expect anyone at Blizzard to read this (or the explanation I sent with my subscription cancellation). Still, I want to say something, so here’s what I’m going to say:
If your company cannot continue existing without bowing before a fascist, totalitarian regime that is torturing and murdering its own people, then you don’t deserve to continue existing as a company. You have betrayed your own principles and I genuinely hope you reap the whirlwind for your actions.
Do I want anyone to lose their jobs? No, of course not. But this is the company that laid off hundreds of people while reporting record profits, so I feel like nothing I could do would be saving those jobs, anyway.
Lol seems legit.
Why was this post flagged?
Because paid Chinese government shills roam these forums.
You do know the “rule” he broke is an interpretation of anything blizzard does not like being said. It says nothing about china or political speech. In corporate terms it is called “the Tar clause”, meaning it can be applied to anything the company wants. They are also usually lost in actual challenges because it is applied too widely.
i take methyl b-12 for diabetic neuropathy. i hear it also helps autism. apparently it works like this - people who are autistic or have diabetes, no longer make the enzyme that breaks b-12 down into its methyl form. the methyl form of b-12 is needed to regenerate nerves. so as nerves die, you get neuropathy / and degrade mentally/emotionally/overload easier.
so i started taking the methyl form of b-12 (it has to be the methyl form). only need one pill every three days. a full bottle last a long time, as a result. fixed my neuropathy immediately. likely will help with autism for same reason.
If you don’t read into the fact that they fired non essential personnel and intend to hire another 1200 devs sure it could seem bad. At the end of the day for the firing people business its just that business. The people in the EU branches were offered full year payouts to quit before they took the step of firing. Don’t feel bad, business is and always will be about profits sorry to break it to ya.
Do you need a prescription for that? I don’t have health insurance and couldn’t afford that if so.
yeah…we have that. Its called Medicaid. Lets stop this game of pretending like the USA doesnt have a safety net. It absolutely does.
In all my years Ive heard of one single case of a woman probably 30 years ago being denied medical treatment over not having insurance by a hospital near down town.
Know what happened?
That hospital isnt there anymore. They were sued and apparently shut down by someone with the power to do it.
ANYONE in this country can get medical care, insurance or not.
And many medical entitles offer either very low bills, or even free.
Fact is that right here in my state anyone who makes upwards of $80K a year can get huge numbers ‘forgiven’ off their medical bills.
No one is being denied medical care and when people lose their homes over medical bills its nearly always a case of not being able to work a job anymore to make that house payment.
Ive NEVER in 54 years heard of the hospital telling the bank to take anyones house or car away.
The most that happens is the FICO score gets hosed. And even then they are very forgiving over medical bills anymore.
