plus he knew it was going to happen, acknowledges that fact and said he didn’t care about the money or the ban.
Another thread that failed to make it into the megathread? I guess it hasn’t been reported enough.
They absolutely, positively, 100% did something wrong.
It was a dumb rule, applicable to literally anything and nothing.
I’m genuinely confused about what you expect blizzard to do about it.
And I just said that corporations wont even exist under democratic socialism, which means it HAS to be state run by default.
I gladly unsubscribed today. If Blizzard prefer the Chinese market over the Western one, so be it.
Wohoo. I was just thinking. Dang we need another thread on this.
Meddling with politics is what caused ESPN to lose massive ratings. Get lost.
Get out of Hong Kong way before 2047 that’s for sure. It isn’t going to get better.
So right that you’re still terrified of the s-word decades later!
Democracy is a word.
The lived in situation is what history records most loudest of all.
Socialism is a word.
The history of socialism is a bloody hand driven to bring about communism, but it has yet to succeed.
That difference is the driving goal of this argument.
Reality versus what is written and meant by words. Intent is discussed by some in regards to words, as in, “The capacity and ability to carry through the spoken word,” is vital in law. China can and will crush Hong Kong under the name of Communism by using its Socialist regime that claims a Democratic one vote rule.
The problem?
That reality is not as it is written, it is made and formed by those that do.
Corporations can exist under democratic socialism, they are not state run. They are run by workers. That’s what democratic socialism means. I’ve already explained this like 50 times, should I just give up or what?
not acknowledge it and if the chinese come screaming tell them to piss off?
Here is the simple reality folks.
Actions have consequences.
Blitzchung broke the rules of the tournament. His punishment is consistent with the rules of the tournament and past punishments that Blizzard has handed out to other competitors who broke the rules.
If this was any other competitor getting punished in a similar way, no one would be batting an eye. If Blitzchung had been caught cheating and was punished, no one would be batting an eye. In fact, most folks here would likely be of the opinion that he broke the rules and he was punished accordingly.
But because Blitzchung invoked Hong Kong as he attempted to spread his own political opinion on an esports platform, suddenly the opinion is ‘kotowing to China’ despite there being no evidence to support that claim.
What you’re being told is this: “It doesn’t work like that, at all, under any government structure.”
Take MVP star pro football player Colin Kaepernick
Oh good call, that’s an issue we can all agree on.
He was booted out of the 49ers and was essentially blacklisted from the NFL as a result.
That actually happened because he was a mediocre quarterback who became easy to counter when the entire league learned his gimmick.
Suck up much?
So rules are more important than human rights now?
