Unless you don’t want things like an interstate highway system, the internet, rural electrification or THE US MILITARY.
Then, in that case, I’m sorry to be stealing so much from you so I can live comfortably and safe and have unfettered access to cat videos and instagram.
I have heard that Blizzard is in hot waters with lawmakers over the incident everyone is complaining about, so the way I see it, will just see what the lawmakers decide on the matter. I’ve also heard some Senators make complaints.
Reality is, no large company is going to not run into problems like this from time to time. I do hope they work it out. I have heard that not everyone within Blizzard agrees with the decision they made. It’s up to them to work it out. But for all the Sinophobia I am reading daily these days, I think it’s time for everyone to calm down a little, don’t allow ourselves to be brainwashed by the media. What few people I’ve known have visited China have always loved it over there.
Blizzard didn’t bow down…they took the TOS stand…the player broke TOS on which he signed up for when he decided to play the game that belongs too Blizzard…as we all did sign when we started to play WoW…its their game their rules…and Hate tell you this you don’t own your account or your toons…you rent them from Blizzard…if you break rental agreement Blizzard has a right to take back their product from you.
Yeah, I don’t care. Those companies aren’t censoring me for my beliefs, at the moment. I’ll raise a stink when they do, though.
Is that why our military, despite a mere fraction of theirs in size, is vastly more powerful? We almost defeated Russia just by slapping tariffs on them over the past decade or so. Or how about when we curbstomped Al-Qaeda alongside our allies?
Which is horrible and needs to be called out when it happens. Course, some of those “revolutionaries” are also power mongering dictators themselves who would be no better than those they would overthrow, or worse. Best of two evils, and all of that.
Why are you coddling Blizzard and China, despite the latter being vastly worse than anything you listed by several hundred orders of magnitude?
Actual text Blizzard cited as the rule that Blitzchung broke when he spoke out:
Engaging in any act that, in Blizzard’s sole discretion, brings you into public disrepute, offends a portion or group of the public, or otherwise damages Blizzard image will result in removal from Grandmasters and reduction of the player’s prize total to $0 USD, in addition to other remedies which may be provided for under the Handbook and Blizzard’s Website Terms.
ahhhh waiting for the day I can go somewhere it grows nicely outdoors… that isn’t infested by Grateful Dead listening folks… call me a simple person but I don’t need 26%+ to have a good time. Suppose I could have a great time that way…
It’s theft until these people want to use functioning roads and have firefighters save their houses from burning down. Then it’s the state’s responsibility
