Saying wow has succeeded is not accurate basically it is WoW 2 that is 15 years ago. And 15 years from that WoW 2 will be BFA level all over again. Its history repeating itself. And then they make Classic 3 WoW 3 and do it all over again.
Why not just do a wow wipe and start over it basically the same thing.
It was a few politicians essentially saying
“we’re disappointed in the decision you’ve made and hope you change it.”
Not from congress as a whole and suspiciously like they were trying to win appeal and look like they supported the ‘American Moral’ crowd given it was conveniently released to the media.

Well for minimal effort, just hosting the old product and slowly releasing it they hugely increase sub numbers. Plus it opens it up to doing the same with other expacs down the line. Will help the longevity of WoW by giving another reason or method of play if you stay subbed.

They already have money. Least they can do is add more effort in Retail.
So? Is that a compelling argument to a publicly traded multinational corporation worth billions and a fiduciary responsibility to its shareholders to attempt to increase the value of the company to STOP pursuing profits?
It’s not that they’re not putting effort into retail.
Loads of effort has gone into the last few expansions
(Legion I did enjoy)
But their attempts to innovate don’t always work.
Let’s face it at times they just don’t have any new good ideas.
I hold out hope that it’ll stop it’s decline but I’m sure a lot of effort went into islands and warfronts… they just sucked.
When did I say that they should stop profit? I saying spending a few more bucks to make retail more polished won’t hurt them. More stories more plot more fun things.
Talents overhaul class balancing. Loot balancing. Less grindy feeling and more into the game content.
Instead of classic they should have put that effort in making retail that classic feeling back. Making epic gear feel epic again.
