You keep saying objectively, provably false things.
- No, NetEase wasn’t their only option. They could have worked with Tencent, or Sina, or Sohu, or another competitor.
- NetEase is not, NOT China’s FCC.
- Aside from being false in detail, your entire supposition is false. Blizzard chose to work in China. Nobody made them; they walked into the place willingly, lured by the promise of a large market, knowing what they were getting themselves into. Even if NetEase was the only company who would “play ball”, this doesn’t excuse the fact that they willingly engaged in business with them.
- If, for some reason, they didn’t do their research… if Blizzard was somehow blindsided by the fact that their business partner might do something on their behalf, using their name, that they might have to answer for… how is that any better?
I’ve posted this before, but it merits repeating:
“You can delegate authority, but you can’t delegate responsibility.”
Seriously, bud, your lack of knowledge and reading comprehension bites you every time.
