See, you have already attempted to pre-invalidate the argument not to mention set up a strongarm argument but weaving it so that by following a contract its equivalent to violating basic human rights and even continue on with–
By using “normal people” and again bringing up human rights you are immediately trying to paint this picture that anyone who sides with following structure, law, and rules they are “not normal” and “don’t care about basic human rights” when that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Its not a matter of China or Hong Kong, its a matter of legal contract which, again, he signed. Obviously you have seen it a million times given your statement–
So I won’t both to bring it up again for you. The point is literally this.
He signed an agreement and violated it and was punished accordingly.
Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences. He made a difficult choice and accepted that there were going to be consequences.
The problem is that you people keep trying to fight a forest fire with a bucket of water. You are missing the mountains for the flowers and focusing on Blizzard, which did what quite literally any other major company would have done but its easy for you to attack Blizzard because it requires quite literally nothing on your part to make a big show about it like a peacock fanning its feathers.
Blizzard violated no ones “basic human rights” and the people defending Blizzard are not supporting the squashing of those rights. They are logical enough to see that Blizzard did what it had to do, not to mention not holding up its contact opens up several legal problems where if they do not uphold their contracts then those rules become much more easily contested in court.
The main issue, and one I have yet to see anyone disagree with yet on these forums is China. No one is arguing that China is not a problem, no one is arguing that they are not horrible to people and ignore human rights, what people are arguing is that Blizzard merely upheld a contract.
Instead, people like yourself are wanting to crucify Blizzard for what they are doing as if they are the worst party in this whole situation.
Its absolutely absurd.
