And yet, I think of Bergen-Belsen and Auschwitz when I hear the term “concentration camps” and so does everyone else who has been alive long enough to learn about WWII.
So using the term is purposefully inflammatory and intended to conjure images of Na zis and Hitler.
If these places are in fact “detention centers” then why not just call them that?
