Blizz has given *nothing* to charity with its pets

Blizzard created the item you purchase.

You give your money to Blizzard to receive the item.

Blizzard collects that money.

Blizzard can choose to keep the money or donate it.

Blizzard chooses to donate the money.

You’re 100% incorrect and I didn’t have to write a wall of insanity to say so.

You’d think so but some people will never be happy. In their perpetually jaded world, the people who has slighted them.in the world be it bug.or small are pariahs that will always be evil no matter what. It made me think of an earlier ctrl alt delete webcomic page. It feels like people just wanna push the “Blizzard bad REEEEEE” agenda no matter whatbthey do. They were pretty transparent with how the donarions work but apparently that’s a conspiracy too.

That is it in a nutshell. These armchair activist are more concerned with tax write offs to be bothered to actually think of how much help these campaigns offer charities. There is nothing shady about it, yet they create these purportedly “woke” posts and think that they have succeeded as social justice warriors.

its amazing that the blizzard hate trail community flag your posts so fast.

the same people that dont care about blitzchung and hong gong see the pattern?

they want to just on any hate train its pretty sad…lol.

Dottie will be around a while. If you feel bad because you won’t donate to charity through Dottie, just do what you can and get Dottie down the road even if she doesn’t go to charity.

Don’t go FOMO on this and sacrifice something you actually need for Dottie.

^ this. All of this.

Don’t lump all of us jaded, cynical jerks in with just these general morons.

Some of us have standards.

I think this video about companies donating to Breast Cancer Awareness does a pretty good job discussing the general idea of corporate charity donations. You can be cynical or positive about Blizzard’s charity pets, both views have valid points:

I’ll remember this the next time my local elementary school does a fundraiser for a charity. Is it the school giving the money? Of course not! It’s the parents buying the chocolate that are donating! How greedy of those elementary schools.

Some people are just down right stupid.

How you going to compare a school, which is funded by the government, to a multimillion dollar private company.

Looks like you had some of those hemp cookies at your school fundraiser bake sale.

I think it’s hilarious you can’t figure out how the forums work and you’re arguing with yourself.

Just like the countless times cashiers ask if you wish to donate to so and so… they give your money to the charity and not the company they work for. At least Blizzard gives those that CHOOSE TO donate, an ingame pet.

People have to stop watching those fake-outrage youtubers lol

Make A Wish or whomever really does not give a single flying f the spirit with which they get money. Not one.

The only time I’ve ever heard of a charity rejecting money was some Christian thing because it was money donated from a sex industry and their moral stand was more important than their charity.

Cool, but that has nothing to do with the thread /shrug/
I can go even further and say that most money a lot of these charities that get money, the CEO pockets or uses the funds like it’s their own bank account. That wasn’t what I was referring to though.

I was agreeing with you on how ridiculous it is. And the OP is basically trying to argue that Blizzard isn’t donating with the right moral imperative or some crap.

Some do, of course…but you can’t lump them all into that category without being foolish. In this case specifically, let’s look at Make a Wish:

Make A Wish is in the 70%+ range, 73.8% to be precise:

Now let’s look at WE, which has even better numbers, with 93% being disbursed:

Oh sorry, and yeah it’s a silly argument to make which I’m guessing OP is trolling or is too easily influenced by Heelz or whoever people seem to quote now-a-days like asmonbald. (Whatta time I’m living in, lol)

I guess people like OP don’t understand it’s Blizzard working in tandem with these charities to help raise money. I honestly :face_vomiting: with the lack of common sense now-a-days with some people.
