Correct, they weren’t sure if it would come early or later. This doesn’t excuse the lack of updates on it. All we’ve heard is that they’ve not, “forgotten” us when they gave the same buff - unannounced - to retail.
Blizzard was the one that gave a rough timeline of Wrath Classic based on the XP event. They didn’t have to do so, they could have left that part ambiguous so they could release the buff early or tell us there’s a delay.
I mean it’s par to the course where they said they where pulling the plug on TBC classic comes WotLK. As far as I know they haven’t come back on that decision, so there’s probably going to be a resurgence of pirate servers in the future ( the thing classic was made to combat and offer a legitimate way to paying WoW customers in the first place ).
I mean, yes they will activate the XP at somepoint. But it’s not the first time they’re letting TBC fans down.
Imagine simping for a company you pay a service for.
