Blizz - Fix the Currency & Reward Costs for the Anniversary Event, ***Immediately***

We are complaining about a long grind for nothing more than stuff to play Little Dolly Dressup?

We need Youtubers and Twitchers talking about this stuff. Time to do some investigative gaming journalism with in depth reporting on the ground hearing it also from gamers mouths what they think.

And if it was all locked behind grinding out brd they’d complain it’s too hard

Most likely will. It doesn’t inspire me to renew my subscription that is for sure.

And that’s ok, glad we figured it out

Fingers crossed. :crossed_fingers:

Skip pretty much an entire content patch. And you might wonder why people are upset…

This isn’t a contwnt patch for the expansion,it’s just an anniversary celebration. You’re confused.

uh,

G.I. Joe. Not a doll. Action figure.

Blizz needs to smarten up, make the game great again, and being talked to from paying customers like this is not justification to tweet out how “toxic your fans are”.

There’s nothing more toxic about WoW right now than these dev decisions.
Remove head from rear.
Thanks.

so all sets for 320 tokens can you get everything else for 65 tokens? also if that is the case that literally means you have to complete every single activity for 11 weeks straight to get all the rewards. you yourself said the FF14 rewards takes 15 min to get… its actually wild blizz lets stuff like this go live.

They are 100% correct

Anniversary’ll happen every year, folks. It’s no different from other events like Hallow’s End or Brewfest.

They aren’t.
Having reasonable standards isn’t toxic.
Intentionally creating trashy systems, time-gated crap to arbitrarily extend subs because a game can’t stand on it’s merits: that’s toxic, actually.

They are 101% correct

I did allude to that in a way with the initial post, but the lack of participation could be a “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” situation… if taking four rounds to reach that point.

It’s entirely possible that players are waiting out the pre-planned nerfs.
The thing is… will it be too late for them to care when that happens?

You know what they say:
Transmog is the true endgame.

… in WoW, at least. For FFXIV, it’s interior decorating.
But that’s not relevant for this discussion.

Regardless, this is still taking too long to accomplish anything.

While not specific to the event, Preach recently brought up a good point with something that feels like a VERY similar situation - the gearing system in TWW is downright absurd and drawn out.

A largely separate issue, but that design philosophy appears to have trickled into the reward structure for the event. It’s also incredibly obvious to players who haven’t been wallowing in WoW’s mess lately.

Seems you’re not ready for that discussion though.

Well, if anything best represents Modern Blizzard, it’s an event that bundles up drips of nostalgia into a glorified marketing scam…

‘Reasonable’ is impossible to define. I mean, that’s the very reason this back-and-forth is happening. Different definitions of what’s ‘reasonable’. For example, knowing that the anniversary is a yearly thing, I don’t much care whether or not I can buy out the vendors in one pass. Just like I don’t much care that the Darkmoon Faire takes years to be able to buy everything even though that’s a monthly thing lol

are the sets even that good, though?

maybe the monk one is cool but like everything else is still kind of whatever.

are they remastered to have newer graphics? yes but they still suffer from a 20 year old design that wasn’t really that great when they were first released.

these sets are not Warglaives of Azzinoth, they were never anything special.
