Bet it sucks being addicted to instant gratification
there’s a difference between instant gratification and literally not being able to earn all the rewards you want…
I live in a very small town. One year a festival came to town and the tickets were outrageously priced and you needed a lot to do anything. So the townsfolk did what any good small town would do,
We burned the ticket booth to the ground.
yes because ff14 developers respect the time of their playerbase whereas blizzard does not.
Yeah no idea wtf he’s talking about. There’s people everywhere.
Well, isn’t this always the case?
Let’s do it! Send the Hotfix through today!
Every event I’m currently doing while typing this has dozens of players there. Are you just on a dead server/shard?
Also once everyone starts hitting that 100 coins achievement they’ll start getting more from the events and participation will shoot back up again.
They are, after you buy your second set.
You’ll get it week three if you’re completing all the weekly and one-time quests.
No, I don’t want to make an army to farm tokens.
One set, compared to thirteen in World of Warcraft. Nice comparison of apples and oranges.
I don’t even see people doing this for months let alone for more than a week or two at this rate
Only people that want the sets other than that this is going to get old insanely quick.
Agree with the OP, Idk why they had to make it a slow drip to get the remastered tier 2 sets.
Hell, imagine someone coming to the event a week or so before it ends.
There’s a price-reduction system in effect.
- First set is 60 tokens
- Second set is 40 tokens
- Every other set after that is 20 tokens.
There’s also something that increases the amount of tokens earned after getting 100 of them. You can actually see these in the achievements tab for the events.
It’s been mathed out to cost 320 tokens for the full collection… so doable within the event timeline at the 35/week noted.
Though it’s good to remember there’s about ~15 tokens from one-off quests. Things like beating the introductory quests and beating the BRD end boss for the first time (a quest). I hope those aren’t counted in the 35 per week you had.
Only if players struggle through at least three weeks of doing all the content to hit the 100 token mark in the first place.
Then compare it to the first set of T2. Minimum two weeks of doing all the weekly activities.
Against 10-15 minutes.
And to be honest, I think players would be satisfied if they just cut out the initial grind and made it so you could get 1 set per week (going straight to instead of the first two being more expensive) 20 tokens by doing SOME of the event’s content.
If they did all of it, they could almost get two sets per week.
How much better does that sound?
That would be the same for literally any event ever.
Who knew grinding for currency isn’t fun.
I feel like a 4th asterisk mark might have garnished attention, but 3? pff, they won’t even notice.
Itsfunny because I’ll be in game playing having fun and laughing, then come to the forum and it’s like people are playing a totally different game.
Don’t worry the pre-planned “blizz listens” fix to the currency and scaling should be hitting the news over the weekend or by the next weekly reset.
This is like the 4th major time they do this now with plunderstorm, remix, pre-patch event…
plan the event with absurdly high cost, everyone and their mother complain with all content creators making a video about how bad it is, blizz pushes it live anyway, >> blizz makes a hotfix that is suppose to be the state in which it should have hit live in the first place >> all the sheep cheer.
I literally am.
The event doesn’t seem worth it to me. Have to obtain two currencies and they are just a trickle of an amount. I think I have 17 of the bronze currency across two characters.
Then skip it?
