There were 6 Allied Races at launch. One of those races changed from what they advertised, so yes, I stand corrected there. But they have already explained why that happened so I can’t fault them for it. They still delivered on the quantity they had promised.

I never assumed it, people in my guild never assumed it, and no one I talk to assumed it.

people that bought the expansion that havent played in awhile? they did nothing but say how the website said they would be available at launch. I dont know or care, but theres been thousands of topics on it so im assuming it wasnt just 1 or 2 people that made a mistake

Thanks for giving a great example on why Blizzard doesn’t comment much anymore.

They swapped out Zandy trolls with maghar orcs, as it made more sense with the story line.

A lie is an intentional statement designed to mislead. They did not lie. They gave an honest statement, then changed their plans for a better story.

Yeah but imagine launching an expansion, you know the time where your player activity is going to be at its peak for the xpac, and not releasing allied races from the get go.

I do not understand why this post was flagged. End sarcasm there. I do not care if they are janitorial staff, IT support, cooks in the dining room, accounts receivable, HR. Every single person puts their heart and soul into making games that we love to play. They know they are walking into uncertainty. I cannot even imagine how unnerving that must feel.

Let us please not forget that we are talking about fellow human beings. Put aside the vitriol and anger for how you perceive the state of the game to be. Put aside the frustration that you may feel over flying, or WF/TF, over pruning, over PvP, all of it.

Please try to remember that actual people will be affected today, not pixels. A great deal of those people affected most likely will have had nothing to do with any of the decisions that have you passionately posting day in and day out on these forums, hoping to be heard. Every single one of these people are arriving at work today, not knowing if it is the last time they will do so, not knowing if they will be able to continue to provide for their families.

Try to put yourself in their shoes for just a moment. And then perhaps we can understand why they may be so emotional in the parking lot before they possibly walk through those doors for the last time, before they possibly see each other for the last time.

I actually dont see how it makes more sense with the story line, as maghar orcs are so completely out there. we could rip apart that alone forever if we wished.

Don’t try to back track or deflect. This is about if allied races were available from the get go. There were allied races available from the get go.

If you’d like to change your point and say “Zandy werent available from the get go”. Fine. Whatever. But that isn’t what you said, and I have this weird thing where I don’t assume things about people. And when I engage in conversation with a person I go by the words they state.
