Imagine having so few battle pets and being concerned that people are going to make fun of you over M+.
Sadly it’s a thing now in modern games where they try to come up with as many ways as possible to make players feel inferior to their better geared counterparts thus inspiring them to sink more time into the game.
I believe it was activision that actually took out a patent on a play matching system that intentionally put poorly equipped players into groups with someone who has some shiny new loot box doodad, or something like that.
Encouraging people to /flex their ratings feels like the same sort of energy to me.
Yay, another Marxist rant about elitist bousuazee.
Competition isn’t inherently bad.
Neither is elitism.
If your heading into the operating room do you want a competitive top of their class surgeon or someone that’s there just to make society fair?
How about a mechanic, do you want a top of their field mechanic with a lot of experience or someone who thinks they might be able to fix it eventually.
Yes this is just a game but the principles still apply.
No it doesn’t… Apples and oranges… Its funny you mention Marxism… Isn’t it China that puts people in social classes based on a score? Well yes, yes it is… Who licks the boot of China? Blizzard… Maybe learn your terms regarding marxism and communism before you post.
China ( and russia ) are essentially fascist now. They allow private property.
Extreme enforced nationalism.
Authoritarian cult of personality.
State/Crony/Monopoly Capitalism.
And with what’s going on in China with the ethinic cleansing of the Weigers they might be flirting with the NA word. Interesting how communism’s failure state seems to lead to fascism as well. Would make an interesting addendum to The Communist Manifesto
Maybe you should learn yours.
In both China and Russia communist did a great job of getting rid of their elitist land owning farmers. And in each country the beneficiaries of this reform promptly killed tens of millions more people through starvation than were killed in WW2.
So in real life, people want the doctors salary with out the doctors effort. In the game people want mythic raid loot with the LFR effort.
I think you’re trolling but it still made me laugh.
this is a dumb video game with people bringing up crap about china communism all that it’s freaking laughable as well as these forums. no one has to be here ignore don’t come or whatever if everyone thinks its toxic but no most come with bs posts trying to rile people up lol. we know who is toxic.
I have successfully avoided having readers view my score by not buying shadowlands.
Nothing they have done since shadowlands originally dropped has made me regret that decision.
You need to learn to organize your thoughts.
not really it was pretty simple to understand what i was saying. just because i didn’t state things the way you wanted don’t mean it is wrong. here i will make it very simple the forums are a joke. people comparing real life to video games is dumb shall i go on. if blizz is so toxic unsub if players are ignore. everyone always complaining toxicity ignore it or stay off the forums if blizz is its simple don’t play there games and all toxicity goes away unless you still get on the internet or actually go socialize. most stuff people claim toxic ain’t even.
After killing off the casual community in favor of end game raider and Mythic plus people and eliminating most of the dual boxing community and allowing toxic people to continue to think scripted bots and boxers were the one and the same thing what do you expect?
The M+ rating is a great way to offer fellow players feedback on the current ladder that others reside in. This is in no way “toxic” but instead simply provides players with more meaningful information. The M+ rating was a great idea by the dev team!
if people seeing your armory bothers you, post on an a classic character.
umm… neither?
they just showed that absolutely nobody cares about those numbers.
…and it somehow went right over your head.
Look dude, players will ALWAYS find a way to find the best people for the content they want to do.
Remember the days of “meet at SW clocktower for inspection”?
I sure do.
Blizzard is not responsible for the behaviour of the players.
They are 100% responsible for their own actions.
I think the main thing Blizzard does that contributes to toxicity on the forums is allow people to post in the retail forum with their classic characters.
You can’t stop us. We’re everywhere.
“You made me beat you”
-GD logic.
Happy Sunday!
Let’s be honest. The forums are pretty toxic on their own.
wait, it’s toxic to have our mythic+ ratings show on our profiles now? lol
what the
Preach it sir, preach it Isay!
