Why is this even in the game. I thought blizzard in the past did away with abilities that removed cc on a player besides trinket. Mage has double block, trinket AND blink stun? WHY??
PoV: Legion was your first xpac
I was really hoping this post was going to be from a DK or a Paladin. Disappointed. At least it’s a human though.
So they should give ret the ability to remove stuns via freedom back
1 xpac of rets having that
Compared to mages always having blink
Blink has never changed once just shimmer was better for a while
A DK kited my monk yesterday for 7 mins lol.
Blink removing stuns is how it has always functioned. The fact that shimmer was being played is a testament to just how broken mage’s survival has been since they added Shimmer in Legion.
Okay well you’re doing something wrong then lol.
More like it shows how much mobile casting creates problems for the game. Would be more tolerable if you had to face someone for polies to go off, but you don’t.
Is shimmer gone in DF? Haven’t looked at the mage talent trees yet, but I hope to god it is.
I believe it’s gone, can’t recall off the top of my head. But they get a ton of other crap in place of that.
Shimmer still exists in the class tree for Mages, in the second tier. It’s a choice talent in the middle, bottom, between Ice Floes and Shimmer.
Better also a huge moving target
Fire mage has not needed shimmer since chastise was unearthed in s1
Ah, didn’t see it.
Welp another expac of more blinking nonsense. Guess I’m going straight to Satanism at this rate lol
F’s in the chat…. RIP
Fact. I ‘member when mages blew up when you connected with them, but in the flip side I also ‘member when melee didn’t have infinite uptime. Creates a toxic gameplay where casters deal damage instantly/heal instantly and become very tanky because the gameplay revolves around melee hitting you 90% of the time now.
It’s bad game design all around. But what do you expect, blizzard designs around all these wonky PvE fights where players have to dodge infinite mechanics. So to compensate blizzard gives melee (and some casters) more mobility for PvE without much thought to how that effects PvP.
Eventually everyone is just going to be a perma self healing race car where dps heal more then actual healers.
