Blessing of Dawn

Given that this talent is 100% optional, can we take off the training wheels and give it a wider margin of health percentage in which to operate? Deactivating if you drop below 85% health just seems like so little room to be of use in any content that is remotely challenging.

Deactivating if you drop below something like 60% seems much more reasonable, though with the shift away from melee healing, I’m not sure why it even needs to deactivate when we can move 21 yards away from allies to turn it off ourselves.

It’s also worth mentioning that its predecessor, Aura of Sacrifice, would damage your armor. It was very common to have a freshly repaired set of gear be completely destroyed halfway through a SS vs TM due to Aura of Sacrifice. Blessing of Dawn looks to function in the same manner as Aura of Sacrifice, so it would be greatly appreciated if we could ensure that Blessing of Dawn is not destroying our armor as Aura of Sacrifice did.

I would prefer the class tree capstones be more universal between the specs. Blessing of Dusk is good for any spec. However, Lightbearer is much stronger for Prot than for either Ret or Holy, and I can’t see Prot or Ret ever taking Blessing of Dawn.

Far too much of the stuff in the third gate (bottom) of our class tree is obviously designed for one spec over the other two. It would be really nice if they would focus on making the class tree good for all three specs and put the more spec specific stuff in the spec trees- especially the capstones.

Does light bearer even do anything for an hpal outside of raids?

I think even more important than the health % limitation is that it also limits total damage you can take (in 5 second intervals I believe). I don’t know the math, but I feel like this will drastically reduce its value overall, and make it feel inconsequential like so many of our other class tree talents.
