I was just thinking how I’d like to roll on a server that this addon is not on. If that means the streamers server, then so be it.
So you are defending an addon that you refuse to read all about what it does, but yet continue to comment in support of something you are making false assumptions about? I mean you are of course entitled to your opinion. But you just admitted you didn’t read the post and basically don’t intend to. Since you refuse to do that, how can you possibly support the craziness of that addon? If you were to read the post linked and then agree, sure. But you really should read it first because you are very misinformed and assumptions are way off.
I fully expect the addon to be broken. If you were to read about it, you would quickly see why.
Again, learn to critically think and perhaps you could understand my point. Keep throwing around baseless age related insults as if they mean anything to anyone and don’t simply make you look ridiculous.
If it breaks the rules, Blizz will break it’s functionality. It will exist within THEIR sandbox using THEIR API and lua.
Addons are at will. You’re not forced to download them. If you don’t like it? Don’t use it.

Please don’t lump the whole “community” into that category of people who obviously take things to an unhealthy, extreme, crazy level.
If you happen to read this thread, you will see that a lot of the community isn’t ok with this type of mod.
This addon goes way beyond the “don’t use it” argument. This is potentially the most game-breaking addon ever created.

Everything that add on does, can be done without an addon. Kind of the definition of an addon.

Sure, but automating that is far worse, and the potential for abuse is massive. Don’t like a comment someone made? BAM blacklist them. Did they loot something you wanted? Blacklisted. If this addon is widely used, situations like that will become widespread and destroy this game.
I think people aren’t reading the description of the addon:
With The Blacklist, any streamer and those in the same guild will have the following effects placed on them:
- Your trade requests and group requests will be automatically cancelled
- If a player enters a group you are already in, they will automatically leave
- Attempts to join any group by a Blacklisted individual will fail
- You will not be able to be targeted with beneficial spells
- Your auctions will be hidden
- Your chat in all channels, including /say, /yell, and /whisper, will not appear anywhere, to anyone
- You will automatically be banned from any custom chat channels, including global ones
- Your precise location will be broadcast to all members of the opposite faction
And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
I don’t like streamers either (well… it would be more accurate to say I don’t like their fanboys), but that’s WAYYYY over the top.
They were originally threatening to apply these things to anyone who didn’t have the addon too… which is… insane.

No need to keep replying to you anymore I guess because you are really misunderstanding the whole conversation to a big extent in this thread here. If you would read the link, you would see why people are against this type of addon.
Of course I wouldn’t download and use something so ridiculous. But an addon on like that being in the game at all isn’t acceptable in my opinion.

There’s nothing in there that violates the TOS or than can’t be done otherwise without an addon.

So did you read the link then? If you did, I respect your opinion, even if it is different than mine. If you still haven’t actually read the link that outlines everything this addon does, you need to stop responding until you do. Because everything that addon does definitely cannot be done in the game automatically without it like this addon does.
