I did actually think that was weird that Garrosh’s reign wasn’t considered a war. The quest revamp in Cata featured some major Horde aggression and grew to a head in MoP with his actions leading up to SoO.
Hell, Sylvanas completed wiped out Gilneas in the Horde’s name, even.
Or for you true Warcraft Fans don’t do it so you can brag about not paying money for this trash.
Its a title they are hoping will appeal to long time Warcraft (rts and MMO) fans to log in and play.
First War was used to denote the struggle between the Horde and the Kingdom of Stormwind that resulted in the near total annihilation of the original Kingdom of Stormwind.
The Second war was used to identify the continuation of the First War as the Orcish Horde moved to engage the rest of the people on the Eastern Kingdoms continent.
The Third war was used to identify the struggle against the Scourge in Lordaeron, as well as the struggle against the Burning Legion/Scourge forces on Kalimdor.
The events of BC were simply called the Burning Crusade, I think, the war for Outland more likely.
Wrath would be The War in the North, or the Northrend Campaign I’ve think I’ve read it called that somewhere in-game.
Cata wasn’t really referred to as a War. If one were to call it a War, perhaps the War of the Twilight Hammer, or possible the Dragon Soul War… maybe even the War of the Aspects.
MoP… I would have assumed this one was called the Fourth War, but they may have called it the Pandaren War in-lore.
WoD was the Iron War, or War of the Iron Horde.
Legion… I don’t remember anyone really naming the struggle itself beyond individual battles. Perhaps it could simply be called the Legion War, War in the Heavens, or the War for Argus.
Thing is, what Sylvie wears ain’t exactly a dress. And you know Bugs would go old school too, just to mess with whatever minds are available.
It’s weird because even today, irl, people are steady trying to erase history because they find it offensive or don’t agree with it.
