Blademaster disappointment

Blademaster was always my favorite orc hero unit and while i am dissapointed they aren’t in wow at least fully, i do get it from a balance standpoint.

Was wondering why no one else was bringing this up. Could easily plug Blademaster between Brewmaster and Windwalker.

I’m hoping we didnt get Blademaster as a Hero Talent option because they actually are making them real, as a class.

Here’s hoping they can be any race.

lmao.

It’s not head canon.

The Blademaster is typical depicted as agile class.

It has way more similarities with monk than warrior.

Wind walk>>>>windwalker monk

Splitting into multiple copies

Using crude control of fire as an element

Using brew on their enemies to set them ablaze <<<>>>> using oil to set their blades ablaze and on their enemies.

Wearing light to no armor.

The only thing stopping monk from being a blade master is giving them the ability to use 2h swords, they already have samurai esque armor

The similarity Blademaster has with warrior.

They use 2h weapon

In the [orc](https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Orc) society, blademasters are known as legendary [**warriors**](https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Warrior) of the [Burning Blade clan](https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Burning_Blade_clan). “These affable warriors rarely seek out danger or trouble, preferring instead to spend their time concocting new and tasty beverages for any brave enough to imbibe them”

This is from warcraft 3 description of brewmasters

You’re taking the Warrior term to literally, they use it for any melee character description

I’m taking it literally because they were literally Warriors. You are taking drinking that everyone does to mean monk, lol.

So with your logic brewmasters are warriors.

Cause it calls them warriors multiple times.

I know this is hard to comprehend but warriors, death knights, Monks, Paladins are all “warriors” in traditional RPG term.

And Blademasters were Warrior archetypes. Their NPCs even exist in Vanilla and they aren’t listed as Monks. You are splitting hairs to try and take something from Warriors. There’s already been enough of that in the game.

Yes monks are warriors

You’re also ignoring this.

They’re more monk than warriors even their culture of being strictly tribal rite of passage is very on the nose monkism

And Blademasters aren’t listed as Monks.

Windwalker

Again, Blademasters in SoD aren’t listed as Monks.

And again, like I said, they should make them masters of weapons. Blademasters and Spellbreakers are high requests for Warriors and have for years. Same with Gladiator spec.

The wandering swordsman isn’t a blademaster

I’ve already tied multiple reasons it ties to monk better, you conflicting that is the reason it isn’t going to be even attempted.

They already flat out said making warrior into blademaster is to much work for what hero specs are supposed to be. This isn’t the same for monk… give them the ability to use 2h swords, make it so any strength on their weapons is converted to agility and then make all their melee attacks into blade attacks you have a playable blade master.

And that hope should have been tempered by everything else.

Seems like you are doing the exact thing you are saying I am doing. You are launching on to the “class fantasy” statement while missing or ignoring everything else stated.

I personally feel that class fantasy is expanded, even if the talents do minor things in that regard. Class fantasy would have needed a rather large overhaul of the specs to have been accomplished.

Yes. Its expanding class fantasy in an extremely minor flair way.

Blademaster is right in the name. Master of blades. I’ll even drink a beer in your honor, wannabe Monk.

Drink your beer on never being able to play a blademaster

I mean they already confirmed that at least so far. Hence the thread. But hopefully they listen to actual Warriors and not level 10 trolls.

More like they had valid reasons.

To make warrior into blademaster is way too much work for what the hero specs are supposed to be.

It’s more feasible to delete shado pan and make Blademaster for monks.

On top of being able to tank or dps as a blademaster monk where if it was for warrior it would only fit on arms… like blizzard criticism and explanation made perfect sense cause the hero class isn’t a warrior

Either way would be work. So it’d be all the same. It’s just so obvious you are only here to get a rise out of people.
