Installed Linux dual boot and the game is performing much better. Not the ideal solution, but the game was previously unplayable for me.
I still maintain that Blizzard/AMD are doing a disservice to their affected user base. We have wasted a lot of time looking, patching, waiting.
I am crashing real bad.
Cpu: i9-10900k
Gpu: 7900xtx
Psu: 1200w
I found out that if i tweak the settings on amd adreline it could probably solve this timeout thingy.
So basically 7900xtx somehow uses 100% gpu usage constantly on wow. So if you change the settings to HYPR-EX ECO on AMD settings somehow it havent crashes or timeout since 1 week already.
You guys may try, the timeout is horrible for dungeons or raids especially when tanking halfway.
We almost messed up guys we almost let this thread close don’t let blizz shove it under the rug.
wow is still crashing stuck on black screen launch asnd not responding in amd user
amd user, I’ve got the blackscreen bug too, any news?
We use AMD because the games suck. We don’t play for free. Don’t blame anything else. Because it’s the game.
AMD has a lot of issues with there GPU’s . AMD knows there is a driver issue with many games and compatibility issues with DX 12. The work around is to set the game to run DX 11
Bump, game still crashes in DX 12…
Oddly enough ive been having this issue up until the amd driver 24.2.1. I decided on that driver release i would turn DX 12 back on and see what happens. Im now 2 weeks in and no crashes, tho i only do arena / fly around the world at times, previously however i would crash in arena within 1-2 days.
