Black Screen while Stepping on "Bad" Projected Textures

So, I made this thread a long time ago on my old laptop. Through tickets with tech support, they said they assumed it was a game bug that they said they’d pass through but that using an old computer would end up having issues. But as it was never fixed, I’m assuming again it’s a Tech Issue.

However, I recently got a new computer that even meets the “Recommended” specs for BFA and am having the same exact issue.

Here’s a link to my Bug Report Thread from long ago, which has a link to my original Tech Support Thread. It also includes a GIF of what happens.

I tried enabling Verticle Sync and Triple Buffering like one of the new replies on the Tech Support Thread suggested, but it does nothing.

Now, to note, unlike before, the black screen only lasts about a second now, as opposed to like 5 seconds. But it can still cause me to run off ledges or such. It also only affects BAD Projected Textures. Things like a Shaman’s Healing Rain does not trigger it. As noted in the Bug Report thread, it also only seems to happen with BOSS effects. Bad effects in the overworld do not trigger it. Only Dungeon/World/Raid bosses.

Any help is appreciated.

Your dxdiag shows errors related to the Xbox gaming overlay and graphics drivers.

Can you turn off the vbox gaming overlay and do a clean install of your graphics servers using ddu?
