From everything I’ve heard about private servers they were even further from vanilla than classic is. And usually blatantly so with deliberate balance changes and what not.
The sentiment of this thread alone shows you are clearly in the minority. Aside from you, maybe 3 people out of hundreds have disagreed with teh change. Get real
Well, people rarely flasked in the first place until like Naxx or something. And Rag wasnt able to be downed without FR gear or pre-submerge.
Again, Blizzard cant make changes to player behaviour and psychology, or the meta game. It will just break the game even more
The private servers had dynamic black lotus spawns, far more black lotus spawns, and even black lotus spawns in AV. The private servers actually had to compete with each other so they were far more responsive to “their customers”.
No one liked 200g+ black lotus except the multiboxers and cartels. Which is why they spam this forum on low-level alts and retail accounts because they want to remain anonymous.

Well, I’m moreso discussing even the possibility. The poster I was responding to was implying that “certain” servers could maybe compete with Blizzard in the future (as Blizzard is starting to take the game in another direction).
Im simply pointing out that misconception, and why the need for more caution is required when it comes to changes. The caution against large changes should be appreciated because now, there is no LEGAL way to defend another server from competing with blizzard
A good change, but I would rather make all nodes Invisible to the dead. Even if they have 300/300 skill for it.
At the end of the day, its a game and people wanna play. They dont wanna be gatekeeped by botters and neckbeards.

This will likely not change the Lotus market, the same people that are too busy using wow as a stock market simulator are going to control the supply. If anything they are just going to get more subs because those people are going to have to buy more accounts to camp more spawns. There is no actual lack of supply…
Well then, just get rid of the botters lol. You dont need to increase the spawn rates if thats the issue

Honestly they are probably doing this because of botting/gold sellers. Lots of gold sellers have been camping these 24/7 and hording/selling them, then selling the gold online. There have even been instances of straight selling BL for money. I suspect they looked at the inventories of players and found that a small number of suspected gold sellers were holding servers hostage for financial gain. These changes are likely aimed at them.
Nah they buy subs and blizz wants that money which is fine. So they gave us this deal with it
Rofl, so bots are fine??? Are you high? So the problem created by bots is “fine”? So why are you complaining then? Bots should be banned because they break the ToS, and the reason is that they specifically cause problems like this.
