Bots are literally everywhere. Try to get a herb and get whispered to move or else get mass reported and banned. How is it that a billon dollar company can’t do anything about bots.

Billion dollar companies do not become billion dollar companies by caring about what the small folk like us want. There is no profit in limiting bots. They only make moves that improve profits.
You might be thinking, “They’d have more players if the environment were better and bot free!” They don’t believe that and neither do I. Not without evidence.

I remember when the gold market was tucked away behind instance portals… the good ol days… The bots always existed I understand that but the massive bot army we have now is because of the crybabies who whined for GDKP ban and the mage nerfs for farming low level dungeons… you eliminated their other farm and thought they would just kick rocks down the road lol, so cute…. this is a problem of the communities own creation… may they all be happy in the bed they have made…

I doubt it’d move much. There’s only a finite supply of herbs available in Classic that’s already squeezed so nuking all the bots isn’t really going to create a shortage that drives prices up. Farming would realistically be a lot easier so people would likely get out and farm their own, and moreover herb prices are already good enough to where I’d farm them if I knew I could do it reliably; either for profit or for my own consumables.
In Retail, prior to the MB software/hardware ban, bots/MBers completely drove the prices into the ground because they were able to do anywhere 2-10x what an average player could farm so some people advocated that bots were good in that regard since it kept prices for everyone down. That true as a consumer, but terrible to bother with as an average player who would want to try to use gathering as a way to make gold, which is why they axed it.

don’t think it would change anything in this case because of how finite the nodes are. They really botched anni design by having only 2 mega realms but not enough nodes amongst the layers to support the number of players.

Yep. Like in wrath when AV became the spam leveling plan option. While the bots did suck they had a few things going for them. They weren’t in chat going “let them win” 1 minutes into the match. And never complained when it went to turtle. Bots just wreck the game silently. at least they are that quiet part lol.

the farming mmo playerbase has not played this game in a long time. in the 2000s there was a solid player base that enjoyed farming random stuff and could care less about raiding and they were the majority now things are flipped and raiders are the majority and farmers are the minority
