Why come out about what you are in the first place? Are you wanting attention? This is a game , its not about being lesbian/gay/trans etc. Trying to come out just to get some feel of accomplishment to a gaming community isn’t really something to do. People have been coming out about themselves long before now. Yet some how Bruce Jenner got more attention because he was a celebrity athlete. Were as anyone else that isn’t famous doesnt seem to matter in the medias eyes. The whole trans thing is a drama filled topic these days.

Pretty much my stance. The internet is where I’ve always came to to escape real life and all the drama behind it. So, not to belittle, but I dont know what (outside of attention) anyone seems to gain by “coming out” on the internet. If anything it just invites you to more of the criticism I’m sure you’re met with in the real world.

I understand free speech and no way should it be impeded on. But consider your outlet, the internet, and the myriad of people on it. Mainly why I just like to be a fly on the wall most times myself. I’m very introverted and play this game solo for the most part.

Lastly, I dont want my above paragraph to make you think I’m advocating acquiescence in this situation. Certain deplorable behaviors definitely shouldn’t be tolerated but on the other hand sometimes it’s just easier and better to not put yourself in that situation to begin with.

Hey y’all, so here’s a weird topic of discussion for y’all! I came out as a trans woman back in 2007 for most of the places I venture on the internet.

Why?

There is no reason to know that. I have no reason to “come out as a SIS Male”, or whatever the correct term would be.

When you come out as trans, doesn’t that defeat the purpose of being trans? I thought people wanted to BE the other sex, not tell people they are attempting to be the other sex/had a sex change?

I mean, maybe you’d want to have full disclosure with a “partner” (if they somehow don’t already know), but otherwise I don’t get it. The partner should probably know, because unless the tech has improved a lot things won’t work the same (at least as far as I know.)

I am not attempting to troll, nor sure if the OP is or not (though “0 posts”, and no return to the thread to make comments, might be a give away), I just honestly don’t know these things.
