Assumptions? Open up LFG and see all the boost advertisements yourself. They’re everywhere.
and not all do. I see plenty advertising in TC. So where is the problem there? For gold, and in TC, no TOS issues there. Only you not liking it. Is you not liking something against TOS?
Blizzard ignores them since the people who buy boost also buy wow tokens, it’s the only reason they allow them to advertise in game without punishment
I never said anything about banning it from Trade Chat. Keep it there where it belongs, if anywhere.
Dude you’re literally dodging the answer. Most servers don’t have boosting services in TC and when there are, its very few and far between. But every time you open up LFG half of the raid groups and 1/3rd of the dungeon groups are advertising boosting. Get real.
Obviously. But that’s the idea.
Welp I guess Blizzard makes money from wow token sales and boosters make a butt ton of gold and some irl money, I guess the only folks that miss out on this are the ones who are actually invested on playing and improving in the game
And there are also some in TC. See it every day, heck mostly TC these days are boost offers and political chat. Just because something happens in groupfinder doesnt mean anything. Report those people, and go on. You are here saying it should all go, when there are others that are doing exactly what they are supposed to. You don’t like it so take it all away, despite ignorantly forgetting people have been charging gold to run raids and dungeons for…over a decade and a half now.
Blizzard isn’t going to do sht, that bits obvious by now. Moderation in game is basically non-existent since WoD, you can literally prey on children, say racial slurs, etc and have a slim chance at getting banned anymore. I know this because my entire old guild literally tried reporting this one dude who was preying on a 14 year old at 26 and nothing happened besides us throwing him out of the guild. Such a sad state this game has become that even the rules aren’t enforced just so Blizzard Activision can save on money.
Just lower gear drop and put Valor and high ilvl BOEs to boost token sales. 1+1. Well, at end, this is a business, we are just potential buyers at end and that’s how they see us.
Yeah but it shouldn’t be going on for this long, especially with how obvious they promote in game
…they promote in game because it is in game for in game currency. It is actually against the TOS if it was elsewhere.
I reported a fella in stormwind a few days ago for saying the n word and I saw him this morning actually
Holy crap, seriously? People are paying 500k for 15 carries?
Yeah but a decade ago it used to be almost all for gold since Blizz took moderation seriously. Now its all dominated by real world transactions. The last time I saw heavy boosting in TC was for N’Zoth run on heroic before SL dropped and now coming up is the AOTC achievement. But those still make up a small fraction of boosting. Now it doesn’t even matter if people report groups in LFG anymore, Blizz doesn’t do a thing to them. Probably because the sub count of this game is in such a sorry state that they can’t afford to ban people and lose out on that sub cost.
They take forever to ban bots too.
No surprise. All blizzard ever cared for is money. They don’t care that literal predators play thier game and prey on children. They only care about some idiotic esports bs and world first mythic raid bs while a chunk of thier playerbase is being harassed and preyed on. Its sickening.
I think that’s because they can create bots faster then they can ban them aswell as bots can farm enough gold for a wow token before they get banned so it’s a endless cycle which they probably gave up on
So again, if its for cash, they get banned. Blizz took down a huge group doing this a while ago. They will not make it against TOS to do a carry for gold, as its been part of the economy since its inception. Group Finder people should, and likely will get banned. You really don’t know if they don’t. Are you noting the names of the people doing it, then seeing if they are doing it later?
No. Not with how it’s going to be implemented.
It will take 4 weeks to upgrade a 210 item level to max level. It would take even longer if you got an item level below that to upgrade.
And that’s assuming you even have the item you want to upgrade. Which you won’t because loot doesn’t drop.
