Tattoos would have been much better than gaudy jewelry.
Without a doubt, it is also more typical of our lore to have the tattoos
Friendly reminder to log in and submit in game suggestions for features you want for Blood Elves (if that’s even still a thing).
the in game game suggestion thing is still there.
Fel blood and undead choices seem like pretty simple additions that would give you a lot of “bang for your buck”.
It is.
It’s under the same umbrella where one goes to submit in game tickets and bugs. There is a section for suggestions.
Submit your AR and Customization requests at least every month or so to keep blizzard informed.
felblood elves are kill on sight in quel’thalas. they are traitors. an entire civil war was fought against them
and undead elves are a forsaken thing
Forsaken are an undead human thing
Enlighten me why we need more custo options again?
If Belves need more options, it’s because the entire game needs to be re-made in a modern engine that allows for actual dynamic geometry so you can make a half-way unique character. The way literally every modern MMO does except maybe FF14 because it’s not modern either.
Yes, that makes making the armor scale well a bit more difficult, and Blizzard is already absolutely terrible at it, as well as texture scaling. If you actually think I’m wrong, lmao, go look at a Stormwind tabard on a human, and then look at it on a dwarf. They literally can’t even figure out x/y scaling on the textures, so my idea will obviously never happen. At least it won’t be pretty if it does.
to increase the distance between void/blood elf. the latter lost a lot of its uniqueness. with its only selling point now being natural light and warm hair colors
Because people want them.
people always want more options and things that look cool in an mmo where being unique is very important. shouldnt be surprising to anyone
That is a nice picture of the real blood elves.
The respect is the less relevant point, the point is whe should call stuff by it´s name. And Lightforging is NOT what the Sunwell did to the Belves.
IF we use the term “Lightforging” we ARE going into headcanon territory that WILL limit us the same way Lightforged Draenei ARE limited (in short: prepare to say “bye” to ANY other type of customization that is NOT “Holy Light” inspired IF we misuse that term).
Nope, since WC3:TFT they certainly aren´t a “human undead” thing. They used to be Scourge there, and graduated to be Horde proper with the launch of Vanilla.
Never joined the Azerothian Belves and are the cannon fodder we (and the NPCs) kill in Sunwell Plateau. I know you guys dig the dark feathered wings, but let´s think another way to implement them that doesn´t ignore the lore in such atrocious ways.
Undead is lorewise speaking a clear Forsaken thing.
As someone who always wears hoods. Yes.
The lore jumped the shark long ago. It doesn’t matter anymore.
Until it DOES matter… remember 2 years of every NPC under the Sun hitting you in the head for acting like a “jerk” for basically following the predetermined gameplay as Horde?
Cause I remember. And while the devs said “everything is relative” this was NOT done so we players can ask everything we desire, they said so to avoid making clarifications when their “nu-lore” grossly contradicts previous lore.
Tl;dr: lore is still pretty much a thing FOR US players, not for them though… if lore was NOT relevant, they would had caved in and allow ALL class combos for ALL racesand not use “lore” as a reason to deny stuff, for example. And they would had cloned everything between the Velf and Belf models, wouldn´t have fixed the underwear (after all, if lore means nothing, who cares about the color of the panties on the female Velf model?)
I don’t care what NPCs think of me. They don’t really exist. They are just pixels. And yes, that story is what made me really not care.
They have gradually lifted some class and race restrictions, some transmog restrictions. None of it matters. Especially since there are players that don’t go by ig story to RP.
Careful with that slippery slope, cause if lore doesn´t matter, then NOTHING does. All races must share the same stuff and that´s it. Literally for fairness reasons.
Again, Blizz started doing that themselves. It started with TBC when they gave Alliance Shaman and Horde Pallys and made the heroes of WCIII into villains.
You are too late for the slippery slope warning. Far too late.
