I have a orc shaman as a main, if they would open up transfers for shamans I would definitely switch over. I doubt that happens anytime soon.

I don’t think that will happen this time. So many people have played Horde for so long now they would rather stay put and play what they are used to. I could be wrong, but I don’t think even better racials will help Alliance. The game is officially World of Hordecraft now.

The horde racials in general actually hurt pvp participation because those racials make the new Alliance players undervalue CC in PvP. Horde are overall less frequently CC’d than Alliance because Alliance thinking (generally) is will of the forsaken makes them immune to fear so why cast fear, and orc hardiness makes them immune to stuns so why use stuns.

Those two racials actually trained the alliance to play worse, and also made the horde worse too because horde aren’t use to being CC’d as much and the alliance aren’t use to using CC.

Net result is Alliance will fail more because of the lack of CC resulting in less participation.

Blizzard built the horde for themselves to play and built the Alliance for the “players” as a pretty races option to attract the masses. It worked in Vanilla but everyone figured out the deal in TBC and faction changed (actually rerolled)

Blizzards plan to have a fast Q for them selfs and an over tuned race to play backfired on them, and now here ya are defending that crap.

It’s the first week of TBC release and you’re lamenting your queues are so long on a late Tuesday night/Early Wednesday morning. We’ll get right on getting to 70 ASAP, being unemployed, and spamming BG queues at midnight.

Orcs resist my stuns 90% of the time. You’re darn right I’m not going to bother with CC when I know it’s futile. Better to try nuking them before they can heal, get away, or counter. Horde racials are OP AF, and I’m surprised more people didn’t figure that out in Vanilla.

Will of the forsaken is good… but the passive orc stun resist + whatever natural stun resist their class has via talents is hands down the most overpowered racial in the game.

I’d like to point out most players are not 70 yet, i’d even go so far as to say a truckload of pvp minded players are not 70 in particular, given how much of a pve grind the process to lvl up is.

I plan to do a ton of pvp myself but I’m only 69 and that’s playing a crapload of this game over a week.

Queue times may improve as more alliance like myself get leveled up. Then again it is true you’re playing horde man, you’re gonna have to accept a wait time on the BG and fight hard for that bonus honor.

It makes perfect sense, Belf is his huge in arenas, and arenas dont require 2 factions, and they have the best pvp loot.

BGs are for farming easy gear to start pvping, but no one expected BG queues to be anything other than trash for the horde, but its better than pservers, where you wont get any BGs after the first month.

I, along with plenty of friends played horde through all of WoWs history, but decided to do alliance this time over just to see the other side. Racials is a valid argument and always has been.

People rolled Tauren 2 years ago just so they could abuse pillars in an expansion that wasnt even confirmed, tell me thats not a long game decision based on player race for pvp, I won’t even mention the obvious orc and undead pvp racials since it’s been beat to death.

Your argument that alliance dont pvp because that’s just who they are, and its a boring faction, is your personal opinion and nothing more.

If blizzard really wanted pvp to be balanced they would have made humans have passive stun resist and an activatable buff instead of a bit of sword/mace expertise and the ability to see stealth better. While giving gnomes a fear break/temp immunity instead of a snare break. Blizzard does that and boom, factions are balanced again.

Horde queshave always been notoriously longer than alliance. Maybe not 30 mins long but longer than alliance

main issue is insane queue times and the amount of hours it takes to even get a single piece

tbc is super depressing so far for players like me that dont find enjoyment in slaying 15 yr old scripts and mashing 1 button in pve

going from getting glad on retail to pvp content literally being dead in tbc is sad

There will be a mountain of threads begging Blizzard to allow Horde vs. Horde battlegrounds, or suggesting that Alliance get triple honor to incentivize queueing. But, ultimately, this is a community problem and I doubt blizzard will institute a non-historical mechanical fix for a community issue. I just wanted to write this thread out so that I can link to it in July every time someone makes a post about the ridiculous Horde queue times or the Alliance premade meta.

Interesting to me is that it’s “nerfed” in TBC and as if by freaking magic works even better than it did in Classic Vanilla. That’s the amazing part to me

Yeah it’s pretty rough, especially since most orcs I run into are warriors who have the talented stun resist so there sitting at passive 50% stun resist or higher… it’s nuts lmfao

If you know anything about Tom chilton you would know he main’d an Orc Warrior and was heavily into PvP. He was not a very good player. I suspect that this will tell you all ya need to know about the “horde” and why things in terms of racials are such a mess even to this day in retail.
