if you want a fair fight they added this thing a few years back called arena and guess what, they even made it so you can’t lose rating.
yeah it sucks that the gear discrepancy between new player and somebody who has been playing for weeks is so large but you can’t pretend like there shouldn’t be one or people would get bored and feel unrewarded for their efforts in the same way nobody wants to raid for 2 months and get 0 gear
