Did one game last night at got absolutely farmed at 2k MMR. Nobody would carry the flag in wSG. At the end they were graveyard camping us, I’ve been winning games at 2600MMR before this and it seemed easier. I feel like these teams are way too coordinated for a random selection of players or maybe my team was just bad. Logged after that. Anyone else feel like it’s just an insta loss before the gate opens
There’s a ton of win trading going on it’s pretty gross.
You were in that game with me. It’s like nobody wanted to win on our team
Oh yeah I think I remember it. It was about a week and a half ago and we had no MWer?
This was last night. We had a mw and a resto druid. Neither would carry
Oh, wasn’t me then. I wasn’t on last night.
I feel bad for whoever is on my team tho because I have a large group of RBGers who throw every time they’re on my team.
It’s this. Rating in Blitz is very misleading due to how inflated it is. When people think “2600 mmr” it immediately brings to mind high ratings and therefore good players but it’s all just hyper-inflated 1500 players that are scared to carry the flag and have no idea what to actually do.
Swolex-emerald dream? Not your boomy?
wait, wth. lol no.
Oh weird. Someone else I just checked
All it takes is a string of mostly lucky wins (RNG getting the better teamcomp or just better players) to go from 2k to 2400+ in an evening. Unfortunately the same can and does happen in the other direction.
This leads to a ton of players who have no business being above 1600 suddenly being 2600 in this mode. It also leads to some much better players getting stuck at 2k.
It doesn’t really even out over enough games to place you where you should be, like it ideally should, because even after 300 games it still only takes a session of 3-5 wins/losses in a row to skyrocket/tank mmr/rating.
Much harder to move the needle and carry a game solo when it’s 8v8. Often if you got dealt the bad comp there really isn’t anything to be done. You can duo queue with someone you know to be good, but in my opinion that’s coward behavior.
I have less than 50 games played with being a 60% W/L but before the bad streak I was 70%. I just want to get out of this hole and keep climbing lol.
The games are easier the higher mmr you are because the players there care about winning enough to play the game the right way
It’s significantly worse to push later in the season from low because the wall of random / casual players you’ll get in your lobbies gets higher and higher
